Why Do Iranian Leaders’ Families Live in U.S. If They Love Sharia Tyranny?

Multiple relatives of famous Iranian regime leaders hate America so much that they live the high life here. Make it make sense.

U.S. authorities just arrested the late, mass-murdering Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) head Qasem Soleimani’s niece and her daughter. The women were living luxuriously in the United States and dressing like lingerie models despite continuing to promote Iranian regime propaganda. And a controversy just erupted in California over the proud son of an infamous Iranian regime spokeswoman living in the state and teaching American students. If these hypocrites really thought that the regime their relatives helped run was so amazing, why do they want to live in America?

You can read my previous article for more details about ICE arresting Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter, and the U.S. State Department revoking their lawful permanent resident (LPR) status. How the heck Soleimani's relatives ever obtained LPR status, especially since Afshar continued to promote the Iranian regime openly, I don't know.

Meanwhile, the New York Post’s California subsidiary reported on April 6 that a growing number of people are calling for an investigation into and deportation of Eissa Hashemi, an Iranian who has refused to denounce his mother’s shady track record back in their home country.

On Monday, he appeared unfazed by the controversy and defiantly brushed off a reporter’s questions, declining to speak after a workout at his fancy gym.

The college psychology lecturer is the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, known as “Screaming Mary,” who acted as spokesperson for violent militants who stormed the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days.

She was infamous worldwide for firing off twisted propaganda during the crisis, even encouraging captives to describe the punishing ordeal in glowing terms.

Later, the regime made her head of the Department of the Environment and then vice president for Women and Family Affairs. And yet, her son is teaching at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.

Nor is Hashemi alone. The New York Post also identified at least five other children of Iranian regime officials and clerics teaching at American colleges. These include Zahra Mohaghegh Damad, niece of recently eliminated murderous security chief Ali Larijani and daughter of politician and Muslim cleric Ayatollah Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad. She teaches at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Department of Nuclear, Plasma and Radiological Engineering. Larijani's own daughter, Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani, came to the United States for cancer treatment and stayed to teach at Emory University. The U.S. State Department just revoked her LPR status. Over at University of Massachusetts Lowell, Zeinab Hajjarian, daughter of Ayatollah Khomeini's advisor Saeed Hajjarian, is a biomedical engineering professor.

Former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami's daughter Leila teaches math at Union College. And Iranian Parliament member and former minister Ali Nobakht's son Ehsan Nobakht is a medical professor at George Washington University.

The point of all this is to highlight how utterly hypocritical the Iranian elites are. While the ayatollahs of Iran have spent decades oppressing their own people and building a global terror network, their children have moved to "Great Satan" America to live luxuriously in a free, capitalist country.

There are instances in recent history of mass murderers' children disavowing their parents and casting their lot in with the West — for instance, Hamas co-founder's son Mosab Hassan Yousef and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro's daughter Alina Fernández Revuelta. But in the cases of the Iranian leaders' progeny listed above, it does not appear that they disavowed their relatives' crimes — in fact, some of them explicitly support the regime still, from the safety of America.

The Iranian regime propaganda is all lies, and the regime knows it. They want to live like successful Western capitalists while imposing the harshest sharia on their subjects. It's no wonder the Persian people rose in revolution against the regime, which produces such loathsome hypocrites.
