We are finding now, as we suspected, that the Biden-Harris administration’s vetting of Afghan nationals flooding from that country after the Taliban takeover was incredibly awful. But that was the whole point. Democrats wanted to bring over terrorists, leeches, and losers.
The Trump administration previously estimated that at least 18,000 terrorists entered the United States under the Biden administration, particularly because of the Afghan settlement program. Unfortunately, it is difficult to assess the true number because the Democrats deliberately left as little evidence as possible for tracking down the most dangerous aliens.
If you read the summary below of the new Department of Homeland Security report, you will note that of the cases that the Biden administration adjudicated in relation to the Afghan settlement program, which was in and of itself only a fraction of the whole, about 40% of that fraction failed to verify the Afghans’ identities or lack of previous criminal connections.
NEW: The DHS Inspector General just dropped a new, heavily redacted report that found a 40% failure rate in the vetting of asylum claims for Afghan nationals brought to the US by the Biden administration in 2021 after the Afghanistan withdrawal, including two cases that involved potential inadmissibility due to terrorism related concerns, but were missed because of missed aliases and incomplete documentation. As part of a random audit, the DHS IG analyzed 678 out of 13,682 asylum cases adjudicated by the Biden administration USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) as part of Operation Allies Welcome, and found the following: - 303 missed aliases - 23 missing security checks (failure to run names vs FBI/national security databases). - 45 unresolved records (failure to resolve potential matches to derogatory information). - 115 other documentation issues A reminder, one of the Afghans brought into the U.S. via Operation Allies Welcome has been charged in the shooting of two National Guard soldiers in DC last year, which left one of them dead. Part of the issue was that the Biden administration essentially allowed the Taliban — you know, the terrorist group that massacred so many Americans and Afghans — to filter people who were leaving for the USA. Joe Biden called the effort to bring Afghans here “Operation Allies Welcome,” but in fact, the withdrawing American troops left behind many allies and some Americans, while we imported many Afghan terrorists.

Among the almost 200,000 barely-vetted Afghan nationals who came to the United States in the Biden era was Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who murdered National Guardsman Sarah Beckstrom and seriously injured Andrew Wolfe just before Thanksgiving 2025. The Department of Homeland Security has emphasized that numerous Afghan nationals have committed crimes in America thanks to the Biden program. This is the true cost of Democrat immigration policies. Then again, the Biden administration also deliberately trafficked hundreds of thousands of migrant children. As a matter of fact, we can say quite truly that the Biden administration was a criminal human trafficking regime.
Biden’s HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra described the child trafficking system as an “assembly line” and complained when it didn’t cycle children to abusers fast enough. In every Democrat state, politicians are still aggressively protecting illegal alien criminals and encouraging activists to commit violence against federal immigration officers. The Biden administration did not fail because it was incompetent at vetting. It specifically reduced vetting measures wherever possible. The whole point was to fail to catch terrorists and other criminals.
Democrats have been using mass migration for years to alter demographics so that they can rig elections and congressional apportionment, obtain cheap labor, and transform America. They are bringing in the Third World so that they can destroy freedom and prosperity.
