Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), who fortunately is not returning to Congress, has spent years vilifying law enforcement and encouraging violent opposition to the law. And therefore, it is not exactly shocking that one of her security guards, a felon, just ended up getting himself killed during an armed standoff with SWAT. She surrounded herself with pro-crime idiots, and one of the pro-crime idiots went a step too far.
The Democrat Party has always used violence as a political tool, and it has always disrespected the law when the law happens to interfere with its own personal goals, but the deliberate smearing of law enforcement and constant encouragement to break the law have become particularly egregious in the last few years.
In regard to the criminal security guard, independent journalist Nick Sortor relayed details broadcast on CBS News, “Jasmine Crockett’s security guard just got into an ARMED STANDOFF with Dallas SWAT, resulting in his death[.] Not surprised this is who she’d use donor money to hire, giving her history of ASSAULTING journalists[.] Thank GOD Texans fired her!”
AInvest reported that the guard was a man named Mike King, a fugitive who posed as a police officer, and who operated an "unregulated security firm," through which he provided armed guards at Crockett's events. King was a convicted felon, according to AInvest, and was driving a "replica undercover vehicle" with stolen license plates. As a convicted felon, King should, of course, never have been able to run and oversee official security, but obviously Crockett didn't care, and it took a while for Dallas police to catch up with him.

Crockett herself has made many outrageous statements about law enforcement, including the mystifying assertion in 2020, “I want to be clear that, like, law enforcement isn't to prevent crime. Law enforcement solves crime, OK? That is what they are supposed to do. They are supposed to solve crimes, not necessarily prevent them from happening per se.”

But besides lying about the duties of police, Crockett has actively advocated to defund police. I reported in November on how Crockett spent more than the equivalent of the average U.S. salary on luxury expenditures that included personal security, even as she undermined citizens’ security:
Crockett is the congresswoman who is voting against the deal to end the shutdown, [...] and called a rape/murder victim of an illegal alien a “random dead person.” She screamed about Trump’s ballroom, called to defund police, and asserted Republicans are restricting healthcare (by which she means no Obamacare for illegals).
That leads to another point, which is Crockett's endless lies about federal immigration enforcement. For example, in September, she falsely claimed that ICE — and indeed policing in general — grew out of slave patrols. And no matter how false the claim, it helped fuel violence against ICE, a 1347% increase in assaults on immigration enforcement. She wanted to protect criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation.
In short, it is almost expected that a congresswoman who despises police and lawful order employed a convicted felon as a security chief.
