In the wake of horrific Muslim migrant attacks on Israelis and Jews in Amsterdam that numerous authorities both in and out of the Netherlands called pogroms, Femke Halsema, the mayor of Amsterdam is whining that the attacks are giving people a good reason to “discriminate against” Muslim migrants.
Muslim migrants were filmed and reported going on “Jew hunts” throughout the city, and pro-Hamas protesters took to the streets chanting genocidal slogans such as “cancer Jews.” But the woke mayor of Amsterdam is most worried about the fact that people are now understanding how poisonous mass Muslim migration is for Western cities. Instead of worrying that a second Holocaust could be imminent in a country that was the scene of massacres by the Nazis during World War II, this disgusting leftist is so brainwashed to prioritize propaganda over people; she is so thoroughly Marxist that she is more worried about the victimizers than about the victims.
Marxists consistently ignore the criminals or instigators of violence and chaos while going after peaceful citizens and victims. We see this in America as Jan. 6 protesters and pro-lifers are sent to jail for years while illegal alien murderers and Antifa thugs roam free. Amsterdam Mayor Femka Halsema is no different, as she has now stated that she regrets referring to the Jew hunts as a “pogrom” and accused other politicians of verbally attacking Muslim migrants in the Netherlands.

She totally ignored the fact that Islamic sacred texts specifically endorse and encourage the killing of Jews, which is why Muslims have always persecuted Jews and why Muslim “Palestinians” want to wipe Israel off the map. After the heinous Oct. 7 massacre last year, after more than a year of rising antisemitism that includes Muslim violence against Jews, Western politicians still refuse to face reality. Their ideology trumps everything else.
Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Gideon Sa’ar slammed Halsema’s statement as “utterly unacceptable.” He criticized her: “The failure that occurred on that night must not be compounded by a further grave failure: a cover-up. Hundreds of Israeli [soccer] fans who came to watch a football match were pursued and attacked, targeted by a mob asking for their passports to check if they were citizens of the Jewish state. There is no other word for this than a pogrom.”

He noted that it was hardly Israelis alone who thus referred to the anti-Jewish riots that began with attacks injuring dozens of Israeli sports fans. Dutch politicians “who recognized the severity and antisemitic nature of the incident” also called the violence “pogrom,” including MP Geert Wilders, MP Caroline van der Plas, and SGP party leader Chris Stoffer. Sa’ar ended, “We will never again accept the persecution of Jews on the soil of Europe or anywhere else!”
Amsterdam was where Anne Frank and her family hid from and were arrested by Nazis. The Netherlands under Nazi control was the scene of horrific persecution — the Holocaust Encyclopedia states that fewer than 25% of Dutch Jews survived the Holocaust. Yet just as Muslims and Nazis were allied in their hatred of Jews during World War II, just so now, woke Marxists have decided to ally themselves with those Muslims who take their religious texts literally.

Halsema and her ilk have no empathy for the Dutch Jews who now have to fear attacks whenever they step outside in a yarmulke or other clear sign of being Jewish. The wokies do not care a whit about the Israelis — Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike — who are still under constant attack from Hezbollah and Hamas. The empathy is all for Muslim jihadis, from the Muslim migrant mobs of Europe to the terror-loving Gazans.
Marxism, wokeism, and mass Muslim migration threaten the survival not only of Jews but of Western civilization.
