Tim Walz, soon after Hamas’s heinous Oct. 7 attack, celebrated aid for Gaza and claimed “Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people.” When the Palestinians themselves are asked, however, the majority always sides with Hamas and with terrorism.
Pollsters have found at various points since the ongoing Hamas-Israel conflict began that between 60% and 71% of Palestinians support Hamas and genocidal terrorism against Israel. It is no wonder that the son of Hamas’s co-founder, who now tries to expose the reality about Gaza to the West, says he makes no distinction between Hamas and the so-called “Palestinians.” Tim Walz, just like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, is eager to fund terrorist-lovers while pretending the jihadis want peace and plenty.
On Oct. 20, less than two weeks after Hamas raped, tortured, murdered, and kidnapped more than a thousand Israelis to the enthusiastic delight of many Palestinians, Walz tweeted, “@POTUS [Biden] gave a powerful speech last night after returning from Israel and reaching a deal to provide needed humanitarian aid to Gaza. The vast majority of Palestinians are not Hamas, and Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people. We cannot let terrorists like Hamas win.” Walz has also reportedly been “conciliatory” to pro-Gaza activists.
Of course, in reality, Hamas totally controls the aid going into Gaza, and has even shot at Palestinians trying to access the aid. This is not surprising, as Hamas controls Gaza itself and often uses its own Palestinians as human shields.

But that doesn’t mean most Palestinians don’t support Hamas. The statistics have fluctuated somewhat over the course of the war, and different pollsters end up with slightly different numbers, but one thing has always been true: a sizable majority of Palestinians support Hamas and their jihad on Israel. Walz’s claim that the “vast majority of Palestinians are not Hamas, and Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people,” is ignorant and false.
As I reported in April, Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of Hamas cofounder Shiehk Hassan Yousef, explained that most Palestinians support Hamas, the terrorists want to commit ethnic cleansing against Jews, and any Americans who support Gaza are “insane.” Yousef knows this all from personal experience.
“There’s lots of hatred in [Muslim] culture against the Jewish people; it’s not a secret,” Yousef told Dr. Phil. “In fact, the Muslim belief system has a fundamental problem with the Jewish people.” Yousef later added, “In fact, since October 7, I personally don’t differentiate between Hamas and what’s so-called Palestinians because actually, there are no Palestinians; there are tribes.” The “reality,” the one Walz ignores and denies, is that “If [Palestinians] did not have Israel as the common enemy, they would kill each other.” Since the name “Palestinian people” was first applied to a conglomeration of Arabs in the 1960s for the express purpose of falsely claiming Israeli land, this should not be a shock.
Other sources have discovered the same reality that Yousef highlighted. AP reported in December on poll results showing 90% of Palestinians denied Hamas committed war crimes and a “large majority” believed Hamas was fighting for an Islamic holy place in Jerusalem against Jewish extremists. There was, in fact, rising support for Hamas.
As of March, 71% of Palestinians still approved Hamas’s horrific Oct. 7 attack. Support for the attack dropped in Judea and Samaria (what Arab propagandists call the “West Bank”) but had actually gone up in Gaza! This for a terrorist massacre that left whole families gunned down, babies beheaded and/or burned alive, women raped to death, and well over a hundred hostages kidnapped!
As of June, support for jihad against Israel and for Hamas in particular had again increased among Palestinians. If you add the statistics of supporters for terrorist Hamas and terrorist-funding Fatah, at least 60% of Palestinians still want jihadis to rule them. Is this so surprising when Palestinians teach their children from the earliest ages to hate Jews and glorify terrorism, and when Islamic scriptures explicitly endorse the killing of non-Muslims?
Hamas-issued casualty numbers from Gaza are bogus, but the Gazans’ bloodthirsty ideology is very real. Hundreds of millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars have been wasted on Gaza, including on the failed pier project, and Tim Walz wants more of the same. Another reason he should never be vice president.
