Something alarming is happening in Minneapolis, and the pattern looks disturbingly familiar. On Wednesday, ICE agents shot and killed a woman who tried to run them over with her vehicle during an immigration enforcement operation. The facts of the case appear straightforward. Video evidence shows exactly what happened. It’s indisputable. But Minnesota's political leaders are working overtime to rewrite the narrative, and their dishonesty could ignite another round of nationwide unrest.
As PJ Media previously reported. ICE agents were conducting targeted operations in Minneapolis, a self-declared sanctuary city, when a hostile crowd began interfering with their work. That’s when a woman attempted to kill agents with her car.
"One of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism," DHS Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin explained. The ICE officer, fearing for his life and the lives of his fellow officers, fired defensive shots. McLaughlin stressed that the officer "used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.” Officers shot the woman, and she died from her injuries. ICE officers who were hurt during the confrontation are expected to make full recoveries.
Here's where Minnesota leadership decided to pour gasoline on an already volatile situation. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey held a press conference and flat-out accused ICE of lying. "They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense," Frey declared. "Having seen the video myself, I can tell everybody directly that is bulls**t.” He called it an agent "recklessly using power that resulted in somebody getting killed.”

The problem? The video clearly shows the woman hitting the agent with her car before he fired on her. I suspect Frey hasn’t actually watched the video. Even Gov. Tim Walz joined the disinformation campaign, dubbing the footage of the incident “propaganda” and insisting that the state will conduct its own investigation.
“I’ve seen the video,” Walz claimed. “Don’t believe this propaganda machine.”
I’ve seen the video.

Don’t believe this propaganda machine.
The state will ensure there is a full, fair, and expeditious investigation to ensure accountability and justice. https://t.co/3faWW4bQvV
The scary part about this is that Frey and Walz know exactly what they are doing. They’ve been spreading misinformation about federal immigration officers for months now, and now they're attempting to portray ICE agents as murderers when the woman was the one who tried to kill them with her car.
The objective seems clear: to spark civil unrest similar to what followed George Floyd's death. The incident even occurred just a mile from where Floyd died back in 2020. Democrats successfully used Floyd’s death as a rallying call for their supporters during an election year, and make no mistake about it, with so much on the line in this year’s midterm elections, they are going to turn this woman, who tried to kill ICE officers, into the next George Floyd. This is their plan: Wait and see.
