The mainstream media wants you to believe that Donald Trump's policies are failing and that his approval ratings are tanking as a result. This was expected, of course. This is the same media that tried to convince us that the Biden-Harris economy was strong and that Kamala Harris was going to sweep the blue wall states. That didn’t exactly work out, did it? So what’s really happening?
A close look at the new CBS/YouGov poll tells a different story than what the mainstream media is pushing. While only 23% of Americans say they're better off financially right now, that's not the whole story. A significant 35% report no change in their situation, and here's the kicker: 38% of Americans rightly blame Biden's disastrous policies for our current inflation mess, compared to 34% who try to pin it on Trump. Something tells me that they’re Democrats who thought that the economy was booming under Joe Biden.
Here's what the media won't tell you: 58% of Americans are doing the same or better under current policies. That's a majority. But you won't see that headline on CNN or MSNBC, will you?
Will Trump’s policies take time to show results? Absolutely. Trump may have overstated things on the campaign trail when he pledged a turnaround on day one. But this strategy follows the same successful playbook Ronald Reagan used — accepting short-term pain for long-term prosperity. And it’s already working. Manufacturers are bringing operations back to American soil, creating real jobs for real Americans instead of just padding Wall Street’s profits. More importantly, Trump is already delivering where it counts — reversing Biden’s disastrous policies and putting America first again.

But where Trump really shines in the polls right now is on immigration. A clear majority, 53%, approve of his tough stance on border security. Even more telling, 58% of Americans support his deportation programs. Remember when the left called these policies "racist" and "extreme"? It turns out most Americans understand we need actual borders.
Trump’s overall approval numbers aren’t even all that bad in this poll. They sit at 50-50, far better than Joe Biden’s polling since August 2021, but even they don't tell the full story either. The most accurate pollsters of 2024 — you know, the ones who got it right while the mainstream media was predicting a Kamala victory — show Trump with positive approval ratings.
If anything, these results probably understate the real support for Trump's agenda. When even biased polls can't hide the growing support for strong borders and America-first economics, you know the tide is turning. Meanwhile, Democrats are still underwater with historically bad numbers.
It’s still very early in Trump’s term, and there’s plenty of time for his policies to start producing the results that even the mainstream media will have a difficult time denying. Trump has plenty of political capital to implement necessary reforms to get our country back on track, even if they ruffle some feathers in the short term. And unlike the Democrats, who seem more interested in pronouns than prosperity, Trump is focused on actual results.
The Democrats' worst nightmare is coming true: Trump's policies are working, and Americans are noticing. No wonder they're in panic mode.
