Radical Marxists in our education system are more interested in protecting illegal aliens than they are in raising Americans’ abysmal test scores. Yet another reason to defund all public schools and universities.
Federal government funding for schools is unconstitutional, and all it has done is enabled universities and grade schools to waste money on unnecessary, idiotic, or outright Commie initiatives while educational standards went down the toilet. Despite the vast amounts of taxpayer cash, Americans students are more illiterate and ignorant than ever. But woke educators are focused on the unimportant things such as bashing ICE and shielding illegals.
The problem is that while there are still some good teachers, many teachers, and especially administrators, are so focused on leftist ideology that they legitimately don’t care about kids being able to do geometry, read Shakespeare, or list any rights in the U.S. Constitution. They only want graduates who believe in dozens of genders, hate ICE, and think all white people are inherently racist.
The National Education Association (NEA), America’s biggest teachers’ union, used their annual convention to vote to oppose “fascist” Donald Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown (though it misspelled fascism). American students’ reading and math scores continue at historic lows.

Among the NEA’s funding priorities are support for the “No Kings” movement, opposition to ICE raids, descriptions of Trump as fascist henceforth in NEA materials, and efforts to combat the recent Supreme Court decision that confirmed parental rights despite teachers’ efforts to indoctrinate kids into LGBTQ ideology without parents’ consent. So inspiring.
Meanwhile, the University of Oklahoma is bragging about providing a “safe place” and financial assistance to illegal aliens. Why should American citizen waiters, construction workers, and plumbers pay taxes to fund woke universities like this, focused on helping foreign lawbreakers?

Another university equally obsessed with protecting illegals from federal law enforcement — which is potentially a federal crime — is California State University, Los Angeles. Provost Heather Lattimer informed professors that they could allow students afraid of potential ICE raids to do virtual remote learning, Campus Reform reported July 18.

Lattimer reportedly wrote, “Recent events in the LA area — including the presence of heavily armed immigration agents in MacArthur Park earlier this week — have left many in our community concerned for their safety. As a campus, we need to thoughtfully navigate these concerns as we seek to support all members of our Golden Eagle family.” According to her, this includes “offer[ing] students facing extraordinary circumstances the option of joining an on-campus class remotely.”
Again, shielding illegal aliens from law enforcement could potentially be breaking 8 U.S. Code § 1324, which says that anyone who “conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien” violates the law.
Such universities are placing their leftist ideology above anything else, and we should no longer be forced to support them financially.
