Anniversary of Bin Laden’s Death: Why Does the U.S. Government Fund Terrorists?

Today is the anniversary of the U.S. Navy SEALs killing 9/11 mastermind and mass murderer, Al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. Yet more than a decade later, the U.S. government uses our taxpayer money to fund terrorist-supporting or outright terrorist entities.

Afghanistan, Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon are all areas controlled entirely or largely by jihadi dictatorships that recently and/or previously received significant amounts of funding from the Biden-Harris administration and former administrations, particularly Democrats, but also Republicans. This is shameful and unacceptable. How could we possibly justify sending our taxpayer money overseas to benefit genocidal, antisemitic, anti-Christian murderers?

It is unclear if the millions of dollars being shipped regularly to the Taliban by the United States government under Joe Biden has finally stopped under Donald Trump, who has tried more than once to freeze foreign aid, but even the Trump administration has not yet managed to stop all payments to the jihad-employing United Nations and jihad-loving Gaza. In fact, the administration unfroze a massive amount of foreign aid in February, including $78 million for Gaza.

Hopefully, the ultimate goal for Trump is to end foreign aid to genocidal groups and entities, as it seems to be. But it is an unfortunate fact that over a decade after killing one of the most dangerous and deadly terrorists (Osama), America funds others who aspire to follow in that terrorist’s footsteps.

Biden’s administration lavished a staggering $13.7 billion — at least — on Islamist groups. That includes hundreds of millions of dollars to overwhelmingly pro-jihad Gazans, who are ruled by the terrorist group Hamas, including funding for the failed Gaza pier that cost the life of at least one young American soldier, Quandarius D. Stanley. Millions more dollars were funneled to the terrorism-infested UN agency UNRWA. Amazing how Democrats love to fund Islamic jihadis but never seem to care a bit about persecuted Christians and Jews, or even about our own citizens suffering from natural disasters.

Possibly even worse than Gaza aid, according to U.S. and Afghan intel and military experts via the Shawn Ryan Show (episode 149) in December 2024, the U.S. State Department gave somewhere between $40 million and $87 million every week to the Taliban. Read that again — up to $87 million every week to a mass murdering, terrorist regime.

The U.S. further funded the Taliban’s political office in Qatar (a haven for Hamas jihadis) with about $10 million per month since 2013, per the same sources. If these numbers are accurate, the Biden-Harris administration poured at least $6 billion into Taliban-run Afghanistan. And it is unclear if the payments to the Taliban have stopped — they had not as of the beginning of 2025.

We rely on the Trump administration and DOGE to investigate and cut off all federal funding for supporters of jihad and active terrorist regimes. It is our moral and financial obligation to do so.
