Trump's Blue City Strategy Is Brilliant

President Donald Trump has two main objectives for his strategy of busting criminals and, for those in the country illegally, booting them out of the country. The first is to provide a contrast between what Democrats have allowed these deadly cities to become and what they used to look like and could become in the future. The second is riot control. The strategy is working, and it's brilliant, and leftists are angry that it's working.

On my podcast Tuesday, I talked about when the "story" isn't really the story (see it below). I went over the Charlotte, N.C., light rail murder and how the leftist media are desperately trying to pivot the story of this poor Ukrainian refugee's murder to a story of how people who notice the black man attacked the white woman are racist or looking for an excuse to be. Moreover, they contend that the media should pull punches in the treatment of this story for fear of it becoming a reason for others to be racist-y.

If you doubt me, watch the CNN panel.

Another CNN host, Brian Stelter, claimed that there were many racist-y comments on X about this murder but offered no examples of such racism, certainly problematic to do on TV, but one wonders if simply calling out a racial contrast is "racist" on the Stelter Umbrage-ometer.

Sadly, it turns out, we don't have to wonder if the incident itself was racist. DeCarlos Brown, Jr., the left's latest poster child for victimhood, answers the question for himself. The 14-time arrestee, whose own mother wanted him locked up, allegedly utters these words captured on the CCTV recording, "I got that white girl, got that white girl," after he thrust his knife in her neck multiple times.

She would be dead in seconds after the attack.

Zarutska's attack happened fast, yet it took place in full view of fellow passengers for whom utter shock may have prompted their inaction.

The young beauty thoughtlessly sat down in a vulnerable spot, wore her AirPods to drown out the sounds around her, set her eyes on her phone, and, in so doing, entrusted her safety and situational awareness to others. Others who wouldn't help her in time.

She trusted the people on the train. One X message noted that Iryna Zarutska supposedly had a "Black Lives Matter" poster in her room.

The real story here, not the CNN version, and why President Trump has mentioned this case, is that the people who hijacked tax money to force people into light rail by making car use more expensive, simultaneously issued willfully negligent crime-without-punishment policies. We'll build it, they seem to say, and it'll be like a game of "Survivor."

These hug-a-thug fans willfully ignored their first obligation as public servants: public safety. And people died.

The leftist politicians want to be the moms and dads of the crazy killers but not of the people who really need their help, which is everyone else.

A corollary to the real story here is that when the left has gotten the narrative intentionally wrong, i.e., George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, and Michael Brown stoked fires of purposeful misinformation so high that parts of cities burned down and lives were destroyed. Cops were assassinated in Dallas and New York. Antifa and BLM tried to murder police by burning down precincts with police inside in Seattle and Minneapolis.

And we're not letting them get away with it anymore. That's why the CNN panel and those like them are so upset. That's why the New York Times is PO'd that they're playing catch-up on the narrative. We beat them off the line. They're in our dust. They don't get to plot the narrative anymore. We see the news and we say it out loud.

It's why Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass's protestations over ICE coming to her city ring so hollow. Indeed, with her silence — and money her favorite NGO, CHIRLA, received — she cheered on the June 7 riots. She forsook the safety of others to indulge the privileged children who hated to see people arrested who were in the country illegally and committed criminal acts. Too bad, Karen.

The left sued and tried to stop Trump from fighting back. But he sent in the federalized National Guard and the U.S. Marines, and the riots stopped.

Read it again: The riots stopped. The city was saved.

In so doing, Trump deprived the left of another tool in their arsenal and gave the rest of law-abiding America a look at what things are supposed to look like when people of goodwill are allowed to live free.

Showing America the contrast is brilliant.
