‘Friends for 50 Years’ But No More: Jill Biden ‘Disappointed’ with Pelosi for Forcing Old Joe Out

It’s shaping up to be a sad ending for this century’s Edith Wilson. Her stint as one of the people calling the shots behind the scenes while her superannuated husband pretended to be president is coming to an end in the matter of days, and instead of a triumphant sendoff, “Dr.” Jill is looking not only at a failed presidency, but at ruptures among her circle of close friends. Cutthroats gonna cutthroat, of course, and that was never truer than among Democrats, but that doesn’t make it all any easier for the outgoing first lady and senior corruptocrat to swallow.

“Dr.” Jill sipped a soothing cup of tea with honey and lemon as she unburdened herself to the Washington Post on Wednesday, giving vent to the full magnitude of her blue mood. "It’s been on my mind a lot lately, and—" She paused, lost in the pathos of it all, and then she persisted: "We were friends for 50 years. It was disappointing."

“Dr.” Jill was referring to Nancy Pelosi, the guardian of “our democracy” who led the coup that forced Old Joe out of the presidential race last summer, leading to his replacement by Kamala Harris, who had received not a single vote for president during the Democrat primaries. That’s “our democracy” for you, and as Jill delicately put it Wednesday, "Let’s just say I was disappointed with how it unfolded."

Fox News reported Wednesday that “amid the speculation that Biden would drop out following the June debate, despite him saying that he wouldn't, The Associated Press reported that leaders within the Democratic Party, such as former President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Pelosi reportedly worked behind-the-scenes to encourage Biden to drop out due to concerns he would not defeat Trump.” Indeed.

“Dr.” Jill, however, is sure that Old Joe remains sharp as a tack and could do as good as president a job for the next four years as he did during the last four. "I mean, today,” she said, “I think he has a full schedule. He started early with interviews and briefings, and it just keeps going."

Really? We have to keep up this sad and ridiculous charade even at this late date? As recently as Jan. 7, The Hill reported that “Democratic leaders and lawmakers are coming under growing scrutiny for not blowing the whistle sooner on what is widely perceived to be President Biden’s decline during the final two years of his presidency.”

Some were afraid that there would be trouble to come over all the Democrats’ insistence that Old Joe was as sharp as a tack and ready to mud-wrestle Vladimir Putin for hegemony over Ukraine. The Hill noted that “a handful of Democratic senators are now warning there will be more calls for answers and accountability given that Biden’s condition became a glaring problem after he muddled through the first presidential debate against Donald Trump in June. ‘I think it’s coming, big time,’ said one Democratic senator who predicted a wave of recriminations against Democratic lawmakers for not asking tough questions earlier about Biden.”

So on the one hand we have some Democrats worried about being held accountable for lying to the American people about Old Joe’s mental state, and on the other hand we have Jill Biden on Jan. 15, five days before the greatly-to-be-celebrated demise of the Biden regime, insisting that her favorite senescent corruptocrat could keep up his president act until he reached the youthful and vigorous age of 86.

Does Jill’s balloon never land? Her problem isn’t Nancy Pelosi. Her problem is that, like her husband, she appears to be completely alienated from reality. Well, if men can become women and cities are better off when crime goes unpunished, then Old Joe can be a competent president who was unfairly forced out by the malicious and conniving Pelosi. Given the strength of her delusions and fantasies, or continuing will to gaslight the American people, Jill has every reason to be sad.

Back in the real world, Jill Biden has just been giving a bracing lesson in what can happen when power is one’s god, and one will cheerfully destroy a friendship of a half-century in order to hold onto that power. No lessons, however, will be learned.
