Is Society Making a Critical Course Correction on Gender Ideology?

It wasn’t long ago that the transgender craze swept across America and the West, seemingly overnight. The woke Left latched onto this new cause and shoved it down everyone’s throats. Transgender ideology quickly wormed its way into public schools, twisting language and culture in its path. The medical establishment, smelling big bucks, jumped in too, creating a new protected class overnight.

The damage came fast and furious. Woke adults facilitated children undergoing irreversible medical procedures, no questions asked. Meanwhile, biological males were allowed to compete in women’s sports, stealing opportunities and trophies from real women. Conservatives warned society would one day recoil in horror at what had been allowed under the guise of gender ideology, and now there are increasing signs of a cultural course correction underway.

Jammie Booker, a male athlete identifying as transgender, was just stripped of the “World’s Strongest Woman” title after winning at the 2025 Strongman Games World Championships in Texas. Organizers disqualified him after “discovering” he is biologically male, in violation of their competition rules. They claim they didn't know Booker’s biological sex before or during the event, sparking an immediate investigation.

“It appears that an athlete who is biologically male and who now identifies as female competed in the Women's Open category. Official Strongman officials were unaware of this fact ahead of the competition and we have been urgently investigating since being informed,” the organization said in a statement. “An attempt has been made to contact the competitor involved, but a response has not been received.”

The organizers made it clear that athletes must compete in categories matching their birth sex, adding, “Had we been aware, or had this been declared at any point before or during the competition, this athlete would not have been permitted to compete in the Woman’s Open category.”

While stressing “inclusivity”, they emphasized fairness in competition — categories are determined by biological sex. “We are disappointed on behalf of all those who fairly and legitimately took part... We stand with them and stand with fairness.”

With Booker disqualified, Andrea Thompson was reinstated as the rightful “World’s Strongest Woman.” While the awards ceremony had already taken place, Thompson and other competitors will move up in the rankings. Some wondered how organizers missed Booker’s biological sex beforehand, especially given his public openness about his transgender identity.

Now, I highly doubt the competition officials were unaware of Booker’s biological sex when he competed, but honestly, at this point, it doesn’t matter. Whether they’re reversing their previous policy or affirming their commitment to fairness, we’re seeing a step in the right direction, and that’s the important part here.

This episode highlights why biological males must be barred from competing in women’s sports. The reversal of this grotesque wokeness seems to be happening rapidly under Trump’s second term, as the federal government takes steps to restore sanity and fairness. Still, transgender ideology is like Pandora’s box — once opened, it unleashed chaos that will take years to reverse. But every step in the right direction brings us closer. The radical left may never give up this crazy ideology, but we can get it back to the fringes where it belongs. In any case, this episode signals promising progress toward reclaiming reason and fairness in society.
