For years now, Democrats and their media allies have thrown everything they can at Donald Trump—indictments, investigations, impeachments, endless smears—and yet, he’s still standing tall. In fact, CNN’s own data analysts are now admitting what conservatives have known all along: none of it has worked. Trump’s support remains rock solid, and his political movement is as steady as ever.
During a recent segment on CNN News Central, anchor Kate Bolduan sounded almost incredulous as she noted that President Trump, eight months into his second term, has spent his presidency “making good on some of his campaign promises.” She then turned to CNN’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, to assess how voters are feeling about Trump’s performance.
Enten’s answer wasn’t what the anti-Trump network wanted to hear. “You know, sometimes I think it’s worth taking that 35,000-foot view,” he said. “As far as the American people are concerned, Trump could be better known as steady Eddie.”
He wasn’t kidding. According to Enten, Trump’s favorable rating has barely budged in a year. “You go back to October of 2024—44 percent of the American public viewed him favorably. Now, despite everything, look at this, 43 percent,” he explained. “That’s well within the margin of error.”
In other words, after years of relentless attacks, the lawfare campaigns, and the nonstop media hysteria, Trump’s numbers haven’t cratered—they’ve held. That’s not just stability—it’s political resilience of a kind this country hasn’t seen in decades.
“And here’s the thing to keep in mind,” Enten added. “This was good enough to get Trump reelected back in 2024.”
That point cannot be overstated. Democrats thought they could make Trump toxic to swing voters. They thought the endless narrative of “threat to democracy,” apocalyptic predictions about tariffs, even the ongoing government shutdown, would do what they couldn’t accomplish at the ballot box. Instead, Trump’s numbers have barely moved.

When Bolduan pressed Enten on why, he pointed to a simple truth: Trump has delivered on what he promised. “To quote the esteemed scholar Dennis Green, the former head coach in the National Football League, ‘Donald Trump is who the voters thought he was,’” Enten said. “Is Trump doing what he promised in the 2024 campaign? Yes—52 percent, the majority of Americans, say that Donald Trump is doing what he promised.”
That’s the key. Voters expected Trump to be exactly who he is—tough, unflinching, and focused on results—and they’re rewarding him for it.
Enten even admitted that Trump has “basically the steadiest favorable rating this much through a presidency of any president on record.” Translation: no one, not even Reagan or Obama, has ever been this politically consistent under this much pressure.
And perhaps the worst part for Democrats is what this means for next year’s midterms.
“Democrats have not been able to run away with it,” he explained. And the numbers back that up. “You look at The New York Times poll—it was tied a year ago. Now it’s Democrats plus two, within the margin of error,” Enten said. “Yahoo/YouGov was plus three for Democrats, now plus four. Maybe they’ve gained a little bit, but in reality, what we’re seeing is that the American public is pretty much steady.”
Steady. That word kept coming up, and for good reason. Despite all the chaos and fury Democrats have tried to manufacture around Trump, voters haven’t changed their minds. They see through it. They trust the man who kept his promises, put America first, and isn’t afraid to fight the swamp.
“The bottom line is this,” Enten concluded, “as long as Donald Trump is where he is, Republicans will, in fact, remain competitive.”
The left should buckle up for what they are about to hear...

CNN just admitted the majority of Americans say President Trump is doing exactly what he promised in 2024.
52% - YES
48% - NO
And it gets worse for them: CNN also reports Trump holds the most consistent favorable… pic.twitter.com/Wx3YjIehtA
That’s an understatement. If Trump’s favorables are essentially the same as when he won reelection, and if Democrats are still stuck within the margin of error in national polls, then their “inevitable” comeback is nothing more than wishful thinking.
After nearly a decade of trying to destroy Trump, the left still hasn’t figured it out: he’s not going anywhere. The more they attack him, the stronger he gets—and the more Americans rally behind him.
