You know things have gotten completely insane when the radical left's pathological hatred for Elon Musk has them literally attacking Tesla dealerships, vehicles, and even Tesla owners in the streets. And you know what? Their unhinged behavior is having the opposite effect of what they intended. I’m finding myself more interested than ever in buying a Tesla—not despite the left's hysteria, but because of it.
I’m not alone, either. I’ve noticed quite a few conservatives recently declaring on X that they had either ordered a Tesla or planned to.
President Trump himself has stepped up, announcing his plans to purchase a Tesla in solidarity with Musk.
In response to a question from Fox News' Peter Doocy if he was going to buy or lease a Tesla, Trump said he was going to buy.
"I'm going to buy, because, number one, it's a great product, as good as it gets," he explained. "And number two, because this man has devoted his energy and his life to doing this. And I think he's been treated very unfairly by a very small group of people. And I just want people to know that you can't be penalized for being a patriot, and he's a great patriot. And he's also done an incredible job with Tesla and, I mean, nobody else has a car company started up in the last 30 years that's been successful. I don't think so. And not only successful, but super successful."
The sight of multiple Teslas parked proudly outside the White House during Trump's remarks with Musk sent the left into an absolute meltdown.
I've been intrigued by Tesla for years. I distinctly remember my first encounter with one at a California showroom. I remember sliding into the driver's seat of a Model X and being blown away. The experience was nothing short of revolutionary—cutting-edge technology wrapped in sleek design. I wasn’t able to take it for a test drive, but the experience left such an impression that I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks afterward.

I’m honestly thinking about it again. I’ve been running scenarios to figure out if it’s a practical choice for me. But, the way the radical left has acted in recent weeks, I may throw practicality out the window.
Seriously, watching the left completely lose their minds over Elon Musk's role in the Trump administration has pushed me from mere interest to serious consideration. The spectacle of progressives vandalizing Teslas and harassing their owners—all because Musk dared to work with President Trump to make government more efficient—is beyond parody.
Of course, the recent vandalism attacks on dealerships, vehicles, and owners do give me some pause. Thankfully, Speaker Mike Johnson isn't taking this lying down. He's launched a full Congressional investigation into these attacks, working directly with the DOJ and FBI to prosecute these domestic terrorists "to the fullest extent of the law." And yes, that's exactly what they are—terrorists using violence and intimidation for political ends.
So yes, while there are practical considerations that have kept me from pulling the trigger on a Tesla purchase before, watching the left's complete meltdown is pushing me closer to buying one than I’ve ever been. Sometimes the best way to respond to leftist hysteria is to do exactly what they're trying to prevent. And in this case, that might mean joining the growing ranks of conservative Tesla owners who refuse to be bullied by left-wing mobs.
