Roger Moore passed away on Tuesday at the age of 89.  The dapper British actor followed up on Sean Connery's trailblazing Bond persona with class and tongue-in-cheek humor. It was a hard act to follow, but Moore did well, carrying the 007 franchise for seven movies.

Depending on whether you count Connery's Never Say Never Again (1983), Moore holds the record for the most James Bond films, though Connery is widely considered the best Bond. Even so, Moore gave him a run for his money.

Live and Let Die (1973) gets a bad rap for its racial elements, and for a 1970s flick taking place in New Orleans, that's no surprise. But the film launched Moore's stint as Bond, and he performed well, even if the film is rather off-color.
