—John Kenneth Galbraith (1906-2008), central-planning obsessed leftwing economist, who grew up working on his family farm in Ontario, before going on to serve under fellow Democrats Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson.
● “One of my highest honors as a lawyer was being invited to the home of my clients to share a meal. It was no different than putting up hay all day in Poweshiek County and sitting down to dinner at noon with the farm family I was helping that day.”
—Far left trial lawyer, and wannabe Democrat Senator Bruce Braley, from the farming country of Iowa, apparently attempting to dig himself out from having been caught on camera in March trashing Iowa’s farmers by threatening his fellow trial lawyers during a fundraiser that — heaven forfend! –– “you might have a farmer from Iowa who never went to law school, never practiced law, serving as the next chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee,” if Braley fails in his bid to succeed retiring fellow Democrat Tom Harkin.
As the America Rising Website quips, “Good attempt, Bruce Braley, Esq, but client power-lunches are not the same as a family meal after a day on the farm.”
