Why would Hasan Piker, Muslim influencer and Democrat campaign surrogate, be comfortable saying he was a “terrorism supporter,” and that jihad is a “perfectly moral action”? Because every good Muslim has to believe that or deny parts of his own sacred texts and binding law (sharia).
The clip below of Hasan Piker is currently going viral on social media, though I have not been able to confirm if it is brand new or has simply resurfaced. He has made so many comments in favor of terrorism that it is difficult to keep track. In 2024 and before, for instance, he said he didn’t give a hoot if Hamas committed horrific sexual atrocities on October 7, promoted Hezbollah celebrating its jihad and trampling the U.S. flag as an “act of resistance,” called for a second 9/11, claimed Israel is more evil than Hamas, and gushed over the terrorist Houthis seizing a cargo ship. In other words, while the statement below seems particularly outrageous, it is really all of a piece with what he normally says on his streams.
Hasan Piker: “I have no problem with the Houthis. If you think I’m a terrorism supporter for that reason, then yeah, I’m a f*cking terrorism supporter.”

Piker is a campaign surrogate for Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
The point of my article today is not to discuss exactly when Piker made the above comments, but to explain why he would openly praise terrorism as moral. Below are some, though not all, passages from Islamic sacred texts that encourage the murder or rape of non-Muslims.
“Indeed, Allah has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth, because the garden will be theirs, they will fight in the way of Allah and will kill and be killed.” (Quran 9:111)
“So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them.” (Quran 9:5)

Abu Said al-Khudri said: ‘The apostle of Allah sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of the apostle of Allah were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Quranic verse, ‘And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those [captives] whom your right hands possess.’” (Quran 4:24)
“[Hadith:] It is reported on the authority of Sa’b bin Jaththama that the Prophet of Allah (may peace be upon him), when asked about the women and children of the polytheists being killed during the night raid, said: They are from them.” (Sahih Muslim 4321)
“[Hadith:] Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.” (Sahih Muslim 6985)
Hasan Piker probably really believes that terrorism is moral, because in Islam, it is.
