A leftist, pro-Hamas candidate has admitted that she downplayed her pro-LGBTQ views in order to appease Muslim voters ahead of the upcoming election. Now everyone is mad at her. But her conundrum is not one specific to an individual; it is representative of the strange contradiction throughout the entire Democrat Party and other leftist movements.
The alliance between fundamentalist Islam and the woke left makes sense in that they all want to see the destruction of Western, Judeo-Christian civilization, and that they fully believe in using violence to achieve their ends. But it is very mystifying in another sense; namely, that Islamic sharia and leftist ideology are utterly incompatible when it comes to sexuality and other standards of morality.
Leftists want to make homosexuality, transgenderism, abortion, and extreme immodesty the norm in society. Devout Muslims execute homosexuals, enforce excessively strict modesty rules on women, have as many children as possible, and openly spout sexist and racist rhetoric. So long as leftists and Muslims are fighting Jews and Christians and conservatives, the alliance holds. But if Islam were to take over all Western nations, the woke leftists would be among the first targets.
And that is precisely the reality we see reflected in the controversy surrounding a Democrat congressional candidate in Washington.

The Washington Stonewall Democrats are now throwing a fit and urging fellow Democrats to reconsider endorsements of candidate Melissa Chaudhry, running to unseat Democrat Rep. Adam Smith. According to The Stranger, which interviewed Chaudhry, the candidate said she did not include explicit endorsements of LGBTQ policies because she “was careful about her Muslim constituents.”
Chaudhry told the outlet that she was fervently pro-LGBTQ. Again pressed about not admitting this on her website, Chaudhry reiterated, “Because a lot of Muslims do not feel that way, unfortunately.” By the way, as an interesting point, Melissa Chaudhry is the wife of Pakistani criminal, illegal alien, and fraudster Muhammad Zahid Chaudhry. American authorities denied him citizenship multiple times over his lies and criminal record, and one of his lies was that he was deployed to Iraq. He managed to suck hundreds of thousands of dollars out of the Veterans Benefits Administration before ICE arrested him. So if you are wondering why Melissa goes around wearing a hijab, bashes Israel, and is careful not to offend Muslims, it is because she is married to a Pakistani criminal.
In a way, Melissa Chaudhry really is the perfect illustration of the contradiction I am examining in this article. Not only is she trying to keep both LGBTQ activists and Muslims happy, which is impossible, but she is literally married to a Muslim foreigner who entered our country in spite of our laws, stole our money, lied to our authorities, and still managed to make himself a martyr for the left. She's a useful idiot helping the sharia-ization of America.
But like Melissa Chaudhry, all leftists will eventually have a brutal awakening. No matter how much they scream in favor of Hamas and the Iranian regime, and against “Islamophobes,” they will never be able to enact their goals and satisfy Muslim sharia standards at the same time.
