Why would a woke white woman from America travel to Iran for the funeral of a mass murdering dictator infamous for screaming “death to America”?
The simple answer, of course, is that the woman in question must be completely delusional. Anyone who has done the smallest bit of honest research about Islam understands that women are second-class citizens—or rather, rightful objects of sexual and physical exploitation in the Muslim religion. Furthermore, the Iranian regime is particularly fundamentalist in enforcing sharia. So yes, any American woman attending the funeral of eliminated Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei must be deluded, either willfully or out of excessive stupidity. But why would such a woman wish to prolong her delusion?In order to clarify the reason for this article, the New York Post reported on Calla Walsh, a radical Dem activist from a privileged background who worked for Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s campaign. “He was a leader to all people of the world who struggle against imperialism, arrogance, against Zionism, against genocide,” Walsh gushed when speaking to Iran’s PressTV about her attendance at Khamenei’s funeral. “To me, he was the greatest anti-imperialist leader to have lived during my lifetime.”

Walsh's response gives us a strong hint about why she went to Tehran, where "morality police" can and do beat women to death for not wearing full hijabs. She claimed that bloody Khamenei was anti-imperialist. First of all, note how Walsh praised Khamenei as a leader against Zionism. She's a Jew-hater. Yes, Khamenei made "death to Israel" almost as much of a priority as "death to America." Khamenei supported numerous terrorist groups that continually attack Israel, including Hezbollah and Hamas, and he gloated over the Oct. 7 atrocities. Walsh is so radically anti-Israel that she sides with Khamenei the would-be Hitler 2.0. Like Khamenei, Walsh evidently sees Israel as a "cancerous tumor."

The idea of framing Khamenei as anti-imperialism, anti-arrogance, and anti-genocide, however, is so contrary to the truth that Walsh's comments would be laughable if she weren't representative of so many young Democrats now. Ali Khamenei backed terrorists from Yemen to Gaza to Lebanon to Iraq, including hundreds of plants right here in the USA. He enforced repressive sharia restrictions on Iranian women and persecuted Christians. When the Persian people took to the streets several times over the past few years, Khamenei's oversaw horrendous crackdowns, culminating in the unspeakable massacre of 40,000+ civilians in January 2026.

Khamenei tried to commit genocide against both Israelis and his own Persian people. Always arrogant and defiant, more tyrannical than many an emperor, Khamenei was a dictator of the most demonic sort. But former Muslim and best-selling author Dan Burmawi can give us another hint as to why Walsh says she admired Khamenei, besides her obvious antisemitism. "Palestinianism is a dumping ground,” he explained on X on July 2. “A catch-all container for every resentful ideology, every broken theory, every radical cause. Marxists, postcolonialists, jihadists, queer activists, anarchists, environmentalists, anti-capitalists, and antisemites, they all pour their agendas into it." Walsh has extended this ideological but irrational alliance to Palestinian terrorists' backers in Tehran.
Fundamentally, Khamenei hated America and Israel, and Walsh hates them too. Even though she'd be raped, enslaved, or killed by Iranian terrorists if she weren't such a useful idiot, Walsh will ignore the truth to express solidarity with the enemies of American and Israel.
