Seventy-eight years ago today, the diary of Anne Frank was published. And today, Israel announced that seven Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers were murdered by Hamas even as America orchestrates deals with Hamas’s backer Iran. After nearly 80 years, why have Westerners not faced the deadly reality of anti-Jewish hatred?
The worldwide Jewish population has never recovered from the Holocaust. And now Islamic terrorists, with the empathy of a staggering number of Westerners, are trying to commit a second Holocaust, to wipe the only Jewish country in the world off the map and kill any other Christians and Jews they can. “Never again” is now.
Jewish teenager Anne Frank and her family went into hiding after the Nazis took over the Netherlands, but tragically they were discovered and all of them but the father murdered. Her father discovered Anne’s diary after her death and published it to fulfill her wish of becoming a writer. Anne had written not long before her death at the age of 15:
I want to go on living even after my death! And therefore I am grateful to God for this gift, this possibility of developing myself and of writing, of expressing all that is in me. I can shake off everything if I write; my sorrows disappear; my courage is reborn. But, and that is the great question, will I ever be able to write anything great, will I ever become a journalist or a writer?
She did not live to be a journalist, but she was already a writer. Millions of people know Anne Frank’s name, many thousands of people quote her words. And it seemed, in the years following World War II, that for the first time in history people would acknowledge the danger and evil of antisemitism — that they would be inspired by Anne Frank and other Holocaust victims to reject senseless bigotry.

Yet now mobs of American students attack Jews and cheer on Islamic jihadi colonizers. Western leaders pontificate about “Islamophobia” and welcome with open arms Muslim migrants who would cheerfully slit their throats (and sometimes do so). Israel, the only Jewish nation, which existed thousands of years before any of our modern nations formed and many centuries before the evil Islamic religion was invented, is constantly vilified. Western media and religious leaders care no more for Israeli civilians bombarded, raped, and murdered by terrorists than they do about African Christians — the only group that garners empathy is the jihad-loving “Palestinians.” Once again, America is sending them aid. Why?
Donald Trump talks about “peace” with Iran, where the regime has been directly or indirectly at war with Americans and Israelis for more than four decades, where the leadership believes massacring Jews and Christians is commanded by their “god.” There cannot and will not be peace with Iran. Jihadis do not make peace. And yet willfully deluded as some Americans are, they won’t see it — hence Trump told Israel not to retaliate against Iran for breaking the ceasefire and killing four Israelis yesterday. Today Israel announced the names of seven young IDF soldiers murdered by Hamas. And recently Iran killed a Holocaust survivor, Yvette Shmilovitch.
It has come full circle in a terrifying way. The Muslims and Nazis were allied during WWII, and now the Muslims seek to complete the Nazis’ genocidal work. Yvette Shmilovitch survived the Holocaust that claimed Anne Frank’s life, only to fall victim to a terror-sponsoring, Jew-hating Islamic regime. My God, why won’t we ever learn our lesson?
Never again is NOW. We can choose to help the terrorists committing a second Holocaust, or the Jews trying to survive it. Will we decide that Anne Frank wrote and died in vain?
