Antisemitism in Academia Is Top-Down

The increasingly massive plague of antisemitism in higher education (so-called) in America is not so much a bottom-up problem as a top-down problem. The students are crazy because the administration and the professors made them that way.

Marxists in academia long ago decided to frame Jews as “white colonialist oppressors” who pull the strings of governments and insidiously infiltrate peaceful societies. And unfortunately, their faithful lackeys never stopped to ask how the Jews can be the master puppeteers when they are always being targeted in every country, or how the Jews can be colonialist oppressors when they present one of the only examples in history of an indigenous people returning to their land (Israel) after long exile — only to be invaded immediately and continually attacked since by actual colonialists (Muslim Arabs).

Two recent stories highlight this sobering reality, which is unfortunately not limited to the universities I will mention. Princeton is still refusing to punish anti-Israel, pro-jihad protesters who disrupted an event in April on campus featuring a former Israeli politician, Campus Reform reported.

At the April 7 protest, around 250 protesters called former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett a “war criminal,” referred to Jewish students as “inbreds,” and demanded they return to Europe, as reported by Jewish News Syndicate. The protest was organized by Princeton’s chapter of the anti-Israel student group, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).

Protesters also displayed images of triangles, adopting a symbol used by Hamas during the war in Gaza.

This is the Nazism of 2025, the open support for antisemitic genocide in the name of woke compassion. Incidentally, one irony about telling Jews to go back to Europe (besides the obvious fact Jews are native to many countries around the world and most of the Jewish students are Americans) is that there were Jews in America before the Revolution, a long time before there was any sizable Muslim population here — and probably long before many of the anti-Israel students’ ancestors arrived on our shores.

Jewish students from George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C., have sued the university in federal court, accusing authorities there of not addressing antisemitism on the campus. Campus Reform explained:

The suit documents nearly 200 pages worth of anti-Semitic incidents at GWU, including allegations of faculty members promoting anti-Israel rhetoric.

In one instance that the lawsuit highlights, a GWU student was featured on the school’s website despite having a public bio that stated “her intent to pursue a legal career as a ‘movement lawyer to protect and defend anti-imperialist, anti-Zionist, decarceral, and all communities fighting for Liberation.’”

Some students were even denied safe access to campus, but the university administration refused to address the problem. How horrified George Washington would be could he see what was happening at the university bearing his name, especially since he specifically worked to combat prejudice against Jews and extend his friendship to Jewish Americans!

Back in 2023, soon after the Oct. 7 atrocities occurred, a former DEI director warned that “toxic DEI ideology” on college campuses “deliberately stokes hatred toward Israel and the Jewish people.” She was not surprised by the huge and increasingly violent protests in favor of Hamas terrorists and against Jews because she saw during her time in academia how antisemitism was accepted and approved.

Tabia Lee said that she saw anti-Semitism “on a weekly basis” during her two years at Silicon Valley’s De Anza College, where she was a faculty DEI director. She tried to obtain an administrative condemnation of anti-Semitism, and instead was told to stop bringing up “Jewish inclusion or antisemitism.” The Marxist administrators claimed that Jews are “white oppressors” and that faculty and staff had a duty to “decenter whiteness,” hence antisemitism was allowed and even encouraged.

This is an antisemitism crisis fabricated and fueled by the administrators and professors at America’s colleges and universities. Yet another reason to cut off all federal funding to them.
