Chicago mayor now under DOJ investigation for admittedly racist hiring practices
In the previous installment of DEI Deathwatch, I covered the brazenly racist hiring practices of Chicago’s DEI mayor, Brandon Johnson, straight from the horse’s mouth:
“When you hire our people, we always look out for everybody else. We are the most generous people on the planet. I don’t know too many cultures that have play-cousins… This is how we are.”

The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said Monday that it was opening an investigation into the city of Chicago after Mayor Brandon Johnson's comments Sunday highlighting prominent Black officials in his administration.
Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon wrote in a letter to Johnson posted on X that she had “authorized an investigation” into whether Chicago is “engaged in a pattern or practice of discrimination” following Johnson’s remarks at a church Sunday…
The mayor’s office said in a statement that Johnson "is proud to have the most diverse administration in the history of our city."*
*By “diverse administration,” he means “full of black sycophants” — the opposite, in fact, of racial diversity, or any kind of diversity for that matter.

There doesn’t seem to be much effort or expense required to conduct the investigation, which could probably be started and finished on any given workday before lunch by simply transcribing the above-video in Johnson’s own words and then looking at the near-uniform racial identity of his administration leadership.
NFL temporarily suspends DEI coaching program
The National Football League — the sporting organization that for some reason insists on plastering “End Racism” in every end zone — has temporarily paused its racist DEI hiring regime called the “coaching accelerator program.”

The program “serves as a platform for clubs and owners to engage with qualified coaching candidates from diverse backgrounds,” per the National Football League. “To date, the program has successfully contributed to an increase in diverse candidates being interviewed for open positions, and many past participants have been promoted and hired into more senior coaching positions.”
Corporate state media is apoplectic.
USA Today called the move “bad optics.”

This is the week when another installment of the league’s ambitious coaching accelerator program – designed to bolster diversity efforts – was slated to kick off in conjunction with the NFL owners meeting in Minnesota.
But that prime opportunity to connect up-and-coming coaches with team owners has been punted into hiatus by the NFL, pegged to return in some reimagined fashion next year.
The league and its owners, instead of standing on principle and rejecting institutionalized racism that its own fan base hates, blamed the temporary rollback on the alleged racist in the White House, so as to deflect some of the incoming wrath they’re sure to incur from various interests connected to the multi-billion-dollar enterprise that is professional sportsball.

In this political climate, it’s hardly a stretch to think that the NFL, which typically strategizes and messages in textbook fashion, isn’t putting up its guard to lessen the risk that it could become a huge target for Trump’s anti-DEI message.
Isn’t some of that a factor in the NFL’s decision to pause its accelerator program?
“I don’t want to…I think it just makes us all aware,” Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told USA TODAY Sports. “The emphasis the president puts on it just makes us all aware and thinking about it.”
