You'll Never Believe What This Squad Member Just Said About Walgreens

Full-time congresscritter and part-time race hustler Ayanna Pressley (CPUSA-Mass.) blasted Walgreens for "racial and economic discrimination" after the retailer closed another money-losing store in another looting-happy neighborhood on Wednesday.

Did I say "full-time congresscritter and part-time race hustler?" I think it's probably the other way around.

"These closures are not arbitrary and they are not innocent," Pressley said of the company's decision to shutter its store in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood. "They are life-threatening acts of racial and economic discrimination."

RAYCISSS, she cried about a cold, hard business decision, if you can believe such a thing.

I guess you totally can believe such a thing, can't you?

"Why was there no community input? No adequate notice to customers? And no transition resources to prevent gaps in health care?" Pressley asked rhetorically. "Shame on you, Walgreens."

Let us now say the things we are not supposed to say.

There's plenty of shame and blame to go around Walgreens' latest closure of a store in a poor neighborhood — and none of that shame or blame belongs to anyone at Walgreens.

I can tell you exactly who needs to be blamed and shamed — and I can tell you in one word: Democrats.

One Democrat is former Suffolk County (which contains Boston) District Attorney Rachael Rollins, who got herself elected in 2018 promising she would stop prosecuting criminals for disorderly conduct, shoplifting, some drug possession charges, and other nonviolent offenses. Here's what happened by the time her policies had had time to really do their thing, according to the Boston Globe:

Walk into just about any Walgreens, CVS, or Target these days, and you’re bound to see rows of products locked up inside clear cases. Not just the latest gotta-have-it tech gadget or big-ticket appliances — but everyday necessities like toothpaste and body wash, for which customers must now press a “help button” for an employee to unlock.

Rollins dismissed one critic by saying, "I really don’t have much time for more white men telling me what communities of color need, because they don’t know." What non-criminals needed, apparently, was to be treated by Walgreens, Target, and CVS like potential criminals because Rollins wouldn't prosecute actual criminals.

Rollins, by the way, did such a bang-up job of ruining Boston's lower-income neighborhoods that Presidentish Joe Biden — another Democrat — appointed her U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. She resigned last year following an investigation revealing multiple ethics violations, including leaking government secrets to help the election of a political ally.

Another Democrat is former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, who "reallocated" money from the Boston police force, "whether it’s a training, or it’s a community involvement, getting the community more involved." When the City Council passed his reallocating budget in 2020, critics — all Democrats — complained that it didn't cut enough funds from law enforcement.

When current Boston Mayor Michelle Wu was still a city councilor, she was "very vocal about defunding the police departments." As the city's current Democrat mayor, Wu somehow finds herself grappling with a massive increase in crime, calling it a "top issue."

How'd it get that way? Democrats.

It's also safe to assume that the professional looters who have been taking full advantage of Boston's Democrat mismanagement aren't wearing MAGA hats or ever went boating with the Bushes at Kennebunkport.

So if Ayanna Pressley wants to know who is to blame "When a Walgreens leaves a neighborhood, [and] they disrupt the entire community and they take with them baby formula, diapers, asthma inhalers, life-saving medications, and, of course, jobs," she should look around the room the next time she meets with her fellow Democrats.

She should look in the mirror, too.
