Geek Out with Your Terminal Out

I found the Dinosaur’s Pen Tumblr over the weekend courtesy of Daring Fireball — a collection of photos, many I’d never seen before, of obsolete computers. It was interesting, but since the photos lacked any context beyond Tumblr tags, it started to get, well, old after a few pages.

Until I get to the essay-style post about how the author turned an early-’80s serial console, and using duct tape, bailing wire, and a few other odds and ends, turned that old terminal into a terminal for Terminal on his Mac Pro.

Old school, meet the new school — old school style.
