Charles Blow Rides the Obama Debate Sit'n'Spin

Yeah, here’s one of the demonstrably silly assertions I’ve seen in a long time, and I read this stuff for a living:

President Obama’s stylistic strategy during Wednesday night’s debate seemed to be to try to stay right above the rancor, to appear dignified, presidential. The problem with that approach is that the line between dignified and presidential and anodyne and weak is the width of a cat’s hair

There were two candidates on that stage last night. One of them looked presidential, the other didn’t. The one who didn’t was Obama, and you can’t tell me that there was “a cat’s hair” of difference between him and Romney.
