Pavlov, Meet Response

Today is one of those days filled up to here (hold hand flat and level in front of forehead for visual effect) with mandatory links.

The National Education Association is suggesting to teachers that they be careful on the first anniversary of the September 11 attacks not to “suggest any group is responsible” for the terrorist hijackings that killed more than 3,000 people.

To those who have already linked this story expressing shock and outrage, I say, grow up!

The NEA for years has refused to accept any responsibility for educating our children, so why should you be shocked or outraged when it refuses to lay any blame for the terror attacks?

You might as well castigate a turtle for hiding in its shell, or an ostrich for putting its head in the sand — it’s just their nature.
