Things Just Got Real: Giuffre Family Reaction to Britain's 'Prince' Andrew Arrest for Epstein Revelations

The former "Prince" Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly eighth in line to the succession of the British King, was arrested in England on suspicion of "misconduct in pubic office." It is his 66th birthday. The family of Andrew's biggest accuser, Virginia Giuffre, reacted by saying that "our broken hearts have been lifted that no one is above the law, not even royalty."

Giuffre, who committed suicide after working tirelessly on behalf of the Jeffrey Epstein victims, said, "On behalf of our sister, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, we extend our gratitude to the U.K.'s Thames Valley Police for their investigation, and the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor." Giuffre's siblings, Sky, Amanda Roberts and Danny and Lanette Wilson wrote, "He was never a prince. For survivors everywhere, Virginia did this for you."

PJ Media's Matt Margolis reported on the former prince's arrest earlier on Thursday. It's an unfolding story that we'll certainly here more about in the days to come.

Years ago, before Queen Elizabeth II put Andrew on the Royal Family sidelines, Andrew was a trade representative for the Crown, and he is believed to have passed documents to American financier and sex pervert Jeffrey Epstein.

It's unclear how much of Thursday's arrest rested upon the findings from the Epstein files, which were the Trump administration released, but the British press, in discussion of the case on BBC News, believed that, as a result of the document release, it was only a matter of time until the former prince was arrested.

King Charles III issued a statement on Andrew's arrest at the King's Sandringham Estate.

Charles endorsed a "full, fair, and proper process by which this issue will be investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities."

As a trade envoy in 2010, two years after the first Epstein prosecution, Andrew is believed to have passed along confidential government reports to Epstein and profited from his association with the international financier.

Another British official, the former United Kingdom Business Secretary, Peter Mandelson, was also caught passing documents to Epstein regarding government asset sales. He resigned his Labour Party post on Sunday and stands to lose his House of Lords peerage.

Several properties associated with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have been searched.

It's believed King Charles has been supporting Andrew at the Sandringham estate instead of allowing his brother to forage for money from his old and disreputable cronies.

Andrew was not allowed to be arrested by an appointment; instead a squad of police from Thames Valley Police descended upon Sandringham to make an arrest.

Mountbatten-Windsor settled a lawsuit with Epstein's most outspoken critic and victim, Giuffre, in 2022. The civil settlement for what is believed to be about $16 million went to Giuffre's choice of Epstein victims charities. He admitted no wrong doing.
