Trump on Twitter: 'Marco Rubio NOT Under Consideration' for VP

Apparently, The Donald’s ego just can’t help himself. He has to make enemies.

Assuming that Trump is telling the truth (which is always a gamble), why would he tweet this out? By having those names float around, especially that of Marco Rubio, he’s actually making himself somewhat more palatable to conservatives. It would at the very least cause some conservatives to take a second look at him; yes he’s bad, but if he’s considering Rubio as his running mate, these conservatives will think, the Republican ticket may actually be less bad than the Democrats’ ticket, and therefore worthy of support.

But no, The Donald just can’t help himself. Rubio criticized him in the past, and so he’s an enemy that needs to be vilified time and again. Screw conservatives — he, The Donald, can win without them. Instead, he’ll just go after (former) Bernie Sanders supporters. Yeah, they’re leftist hacks, but hey, when he thinks about it, so is he!

Reaching out to them? Sure, Trump is up for that — as long as he doesn’t have to do business with those damnable conservatives who actually take the Constitution seriously. Brr, the thought alone causes Trump’s hair to stand up.

And that, of course, is a sight nobody longs to see. His hair is bad enough as it is.
