His High Holiness the Lightbringer Barack Obama is everywhere the last few days. That's just annoying and it is never, ever a good sign. Few figures in history have ever said so little with a mouth that moves so much.
I thought he had been popping up on social media more often in the past week, but I really started to notice it on Monday. That got me thinking about whether he was just bored or if the Democrats had begged him to run interference. The former is always a real possibility. He and Michelle seem to have a bland, 1950s Hollywood show marriage. It's just difficult figuring out which one is the beard.
Probably both.
There is a very real possibility that Obama is in actual physical agony because President Trump is receiving accolades from all over the world for brokering the peace deal and the return of the hostages. If I were a better person, I wouldn't root for that. These days, however, I struggle with the better person thing when writing or talking about any prominent Democrats. They're just a tedious, unlikable lot over there.
I've got a few ideas about the Dems pressing him into service, all of which I think are valid.
I suppose we should be grateful that they aren't trying to get more face time for Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. OK, Harris's book tour implosions have been occasionally fun to watch, as well as good reminders of what President Donald Trump saved us from. Seriously, I'd be living in Mexico, fishing, and selling plasma now if she were president.
Anyway, I hope the sudden rash of Obama hot takes ends soon, but it seems like he's gearing up for another trip to see the witches at The View.
