The Kruiser Kabana Episode 239: From Andrew Breitbart to Charlie Kirk — A Legacy of Activism

(Reminder: New episodes are on the podcast page, but I’ll still do promos here.)

My dear friend and ideological doppelgänger Kira Davis is back to discuss Charlie Kirk's impact on conservative activism, as well as to reminisce about our late friend Andrew Breitbart. Both men were taken from us far too soon but will long be remembered for their examples of how to fight the good fight in American politics.

Charlie Kirk got started in activism by attending Tea Party events when he was still a teenager. He brought the legacy of that era to a new generation and turned it into something even bigger. The thousands of young people he inspired have wasted no time in making sure that his memory is properly honored.

I wish that I had gotten to know the young man, but, as I've mentioned a few times in the last couple of weeks, Turning Point USA's ascendance coincided with my withdrawal from activism. Spending too much time in the political trenches can make anybody jaded. I wasn't quite there yet when I stepped back, but I wasn't far from it. Seeing the enthusiasm of the TPUSA people is refreshing, especially in this time of profound grief for them. It is very comforting to know that the future of conservative activism is in very good hands.

Shortly after I learned that Charlie Kirk had died I thought of Andrew. I'll leave you with what I posted on X that day. There's a bit of a language warning for this one.
