Kruiser's (Almost) Daily Distraction: I'll Be Keeping My Guns and My Prayers, Thank You

The original intent of this column was to explore lighthearted fare — or at least nothing too serious. Maybe that's one of the things that's been keeping it from achieving its true potential. No topics are off limits now. I just want to be pithy with these things.

Pithy, I tell you!

I'm writing this late on Wednesday night after yet another horrific shooting by someone who was a gushing font of instability. Predictably, the lefties immediately began dumping on people of faith, hitting social media to post en masse that "thoughts and prayers don't work." This is a boilerplate leftist reaction whenever someone from one of their preferred victim groups is the homicidal maniac, which is most often the case.

The psychopath in Minneapolis who decided to kill little kids while they were praying checked off two boxes for the Democrats: transgender and ragingly antisemitic. If the secular Dems had saints, those would be two big steps towards canonization.

That the Dems reflexively lead their attacks on the Second Amendment with the casual disparagement of religious people gives us a pretty good idea of which part of the First Amendment they'd go after if given the opportunity.

As all of you no doubt know, I am both a man of faith and a staunch, gun-owning supporter of the Second Amendment. I am very clear on the fact that the Democrats would prefer that I not be allowed to be either. It's time that a lot of people stop harboring illusions about the Democrats. It should be easier now that they've stopped trying to hide their motives.

I've written several times over the years that my guns aren't killing anyone, so I see no reason why I should be treated as if they are and lose my rights. Like my guns, my prayers are also not the problem, so the Godless lefties can keep their grubby, Constitution-shredding paws off of them, too.

We know what the problem is, especially with several recent shootings:

It's time to remind the Dems that a phobia is an irrational fear, so transphobia isn't really a thing.

There... pithy.
