Three Months Later, A Sandy Relief Bill Is Headed To President Bomber Jacket

Perhaps the press hasn’t been too upset about this delay because Sandy wasn’t caused by the racist Bush/Cheney Hurricane Machine.

A long-delayed $50.5 billion aid package for victims of Superstorm Sandy cleared the Senate on Monday, three months after the storm destroyed or damaged hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses in coastal New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The package, approved 62-36 in the Democratic-controlled Senate, now goes to President Barack Obama to be signed into law. Added to flood insurance legislation passed by Congress earlier this month, it brings Sandy aid appropriations to $60.2 billion.

OK, they’re a little upset…at the Republicans, of course. Those who opposed the pork in both this and the House version that was presented at the beginning of the month are being portrayed as evil haters of people and puppies.

It could just be that the MSM was confused by creating the pre-election illusion that President Obama had it all taken care of with his photo-op tour of the devastated region.
