What kind of crazy, f***ed up world is this where AIPAC is banned, spurned, and forbidden from participating in politics — yet CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood have a free hand to play kingmaker in U.S. elections?
AIPAC is “funded exclusively by Americans,” and 100% of its 6.5 million members are American citizens. Its stated purpose is to “strengthen the U.S.-Israel partnership” by creating a “mutually beneficial relationship with our ally.”
CAIR’s financial status is murkier: In at least one filing, 76% of its annual donations came from two foreign sources, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Its mission is to “enhance the understanding of Islam” and “empower American Muslims.”
(The UAE later revoked its support, declaring CAIR a terrorist group, largely due to its ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.)
And speaking of the Muslim Brotherhood, multiple Muslim-majority nations — including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Syria, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan — have officially designated the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, banning it and jailing its leaders. (As did, interestingly enough, Russia.)
But the Muslim Brotherhood still operates freely in the United States. There is no federal ban; only a few of its foreign branches have been declared terrorist organizations by the U.S. government. And today, CAIR has 35 chapters and offices in 27 states — and counting.
Their influence is rapidly rising.
Yet AIPAC is now forbidden from supporting Mike Rogers, the Republican candidate for Michigan’s U.S. Senate seat. Not because Rogers disagrees with AIPAC’s goals, but because the organization has been so thoroughly demonized that he fears its support would do more harm than good.

- Rogers spoke with AIPAC chair Michael Tuchin in Los Angeles last week. The next day, AIPAC shelved an already-cut video ad targeting Rogers' Democratic rival, outspoken Israel critic Abdul El-Sayed.
Why it matters: The extraordinary tension underscores how far AIPAC's political standing has fallen amid voters' anger over the war in Gaza. Even Rogers — a staunchly pro-Israel Republican — fears the group's public support could be a liability in the Nov. 3 election.
Driving the news: The move by Rogers' team angered AIPAC officials, who had spent more than $30 million to try to defeat El-Sayed in the Democratic primary and prepared to spend millions more to help elect Rogers, according to people familiar with the conversations.
As Axios noted, Rogers’ Democrat opponent, Muslim socialist Abdul El-Sayed, has made his opposition to AIPAC a “centerpiece” of his campaign:
El-Sayed made AIPAC a centerpiece of his successful primary campaign, using the group's spending against him to portray Democratic opponent Haley Stevens as beholden to the pro-Israel lobby.
- El-Sayed has called Israel a "rogue state," accused it of genocide and apartheid, and has declined to say whether Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish state.
But oddly enough, supporters of CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood are, apparently, actively participating in U.S. politics:
Sen. Ted Cruz: Does Abdul El-Sayed’s candidacy for Senator in Michigan concern you?
Kyle Shideler: Yes sir. It does.
Sen. Cruz: Why is that?
Shideler: Well, to begin with, I look at the connection that his father-in-law, Jukaku Tayeb, has to [Muslim] Brotherhood-linked groups. This includes being the president at one time of CAIR Michigan. Also his presence on the Islamic Society of North America [ISNA] founders committee, which is only for those most exclusively devoted to ISNA and provide significant amount of funding. There are other known Brotherhood members on that committee. I would also look at El-Sayed’s ties to a group called Emgage, which purports to be a Muslim, sort of “get out the vote” or candidate recruitment organization, but it has close ties to CAIR. It was created by a former CAIR member who at one time was on a terror watch list and was also a consultant to convicted terrorist, Sami Al-Arian.
Plus, as the reporter observed, it all seems to be part and parcel of a financial pipeline:
TV Journalist: And according to a report, El-Sayed has already collected more than $115,000 from donors who worked for or held leadership roles with the Council on American Islamic Relations, better known as CAIR, and that does include the organization’s executive director, who faced massive backlash for his comments, saying he was “happy” to see the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel.
It wouldn’t be the first time CAIR crosspollinated with Islamic terrorist groups: Ghassan Elashi, the founding board member of CAIR-Texas, was sentenced to 65 years for funding Hamas. Randall Todd “Ismail” Royer, CAIR’s former communications specialist, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for helping Al-Qaeda. Bassem Khafagi, CAIR’s former community affairs director, was deported after being convicted of terrorism-related fraud. And CAIR itself was named as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in “one of the largest successful prosecutions of terrorism financing in United States history, where internal documents plainly identified CAIR as a subsidiary of the Muslim Brotherhood and a federal court eventually found ‘ample evidence to establish’ that CAIR was associated ‘with Hamas.’”
It’s a murky, incestuous relationship, with super PACs and super-wealthy benefactors circumventing U.S. financial restrictions.
A Fox News Digital review found that El-Sayed, who has made getting "money out of politics" a central campaign rallying cry, has accepted donations from at least 41 individuals who either work for CAIR, formerly worked for CAIR, or have served in leadership positions with the organization.
The donor list includes several of CAIR's highest-ranking officials, including national Board Chair Manal Fakhoury, national Board Treasurer Eyas Abdeen, national Vice Chair Emad Sabbah, and CAIR-Michigan board member Jukaku Tayeb, El-Sayed's father-in-law.
Tayeb has been one of the largest financial backers of the super PAC supporting El-Sayed's campaign and is also part of the founding committee of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a group linked to Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood funding, Washington Free Beacon first reported. [emphasis added]
This means El-Sayed now has a financial pipeline that’s completely independent of the Democratic Party bosses.
(As will the next wave of Islamic-socialist candidates.)
With a dedicated, entrenched voting bloc, financial support, logistical support, and infrastructure support, the Islamic-socialist nexus is poised to become a party within a party, mirroring the spectacular growth of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). And just like the DSA, the Islamic-socialists didn’t join the Donkeys because they agree with the DNC platform — they’re there to take it over.
Because the DSA and the Islamic-socialists are natural allies:
- They both hate Israel.
- They both despise American values, beliefs, and traditions.
- They both needed a political party who’d (stupidly) let ‘em in the front door.
In any community with a large Muslim population, the Islamic-socialists have the upper hand. Once Muslim voters coalesce behind a Muslim socialist candidate, it’s next to impossible for a non-Muslim DSA candidate to gain traction.
As a practical matter, the primary is already decided: The fix is in.
Which creates a three-point political playbook for the El-Sayeds of America: First you solidify the Muslim vote. Then you swallow the DSA vote. And then, finally, you ride it all the way to the Democratic Party nomination — leveraging the support of “infidel” white women, college kids, and rich liberal boomers — accusing any critics of “Islamophobia” and being “Israel First.”
It’s literally how he won the primary.
Right now, this Islamic-socialist nexus lacks an identifiable name. For PR purposes, they need one.
So let’s call these “Islamic socialists in suburbia” by their acronym: ISIS.
(Kinda catchy, eh?)
But it’s not all sunshine, falafels, and hummus. Not everyone in the Democratic coalition is jonesing for an ISIS/DSA takeover.
In fact, one of the Dems' key constituencies wants nothing to do with either of ‘em!
Earthquakes happen when pressure builds below the surface. Little by little, the tension increases — until, finally, there’s a visible jolt — and suddenly, all at once, we witness the horrible carnage.
But before the earth moves, the pressure builds. It’s a necessary ingredient.
Same goes for political earthquakes.
Something fascinating is going on below the surface: Black voters are loudly rejecting socialism.
Abdul El-Sayed emerged from Michigan’s Democratic primary facing questions not just about how he can solidify support outside the party’s base but how he will energize Black voters, one of the Democratic Party’s most critical voting blocs.
During the primary, Black voters largely favored El-Sayed’s rival Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.), the establishment-backed candidate in the race. And Democrats stress that El-Sayed needs to win over a majority of those voters if he wants to beat Republican Mike Rogers in November.
When The Hill crunched the numbers, El-Sayed’s dismal support from Michigan’s black voters was painfully apparent:
[Haley Stevens] led El-Sayed by 8 percentage points in districts where more than 15 percent of the population is Black. Polling in July showed that just 21 percent of Black voters backed El-Sayed while 67 percent supported the House Democrat.
A Michigan Education Survey also showed El-Sayed struggling with Black voters. Stevens notched 69 percent from the bloc; El-Sayed garnered 37 percent support.
The New York Times reported similarly:
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, who won the Democratic nomination, was a favorite of younger voters and college-educated liberals, while Representative Haley Stevens, who trailed him by less than one percentage point on Wednesday afternoon, appeared strong in areas that are home to many Black and working-class voters.
El-Sayed’s base wasn’t black voters. Instead, it was Muslim Americans, plus DSA acolytes (college kids, younger people, limousine liberals):
Dr. El-Sayed, a progressive former public health official, was the overwhelming favorite in college towns and some urban areas, including in Washtenaw County, home to Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, winning 61 percent of the vote there. He also posted a strong showing in Ingham County, where Lansing and Michigan State University are based, and in Kent County, home to fast-growing Grand Rapids, where there are a number of colleges as well as a vibrant community of young professionals.
He also carried some of the counties with the highest median incomes, including Washtenaw, Livingston — between Detroit and Lansing — and Ottawa, near Grand Rapids.

In the majority-Arab community of Dearborn, Mich., he was winning nearly 80 percent of the vote. In nearby Dearborn Heights, he notched more than 70 percent of the vote.
The trouble is that DSA acolytes tend to be lily-white and overeducated. A 2021 survey found that 85% were white and 80% had college degrees. Those demographics don’t work in most districts.
Meanwhile, between 2020 and 2025, the number of black voters who identify with the Democratic Party has dropped by 10 points. For years, they were the Dems’ most reliable voting bloc; now they’re walking away.
Black voters are voting with their feet.
Black Democrats killed Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid — not once, but twice. In 2016, in the must-win state of South Carolina, Hillary Clinton won 86% of the black vote to Sanders’ 14%. And in 2020, Joe Biden won 61% of the black vote to Sanders’ 17%.
Black voters just aren’t buying what the socialists are selling.
(Perhaps because American blacks are now more likely than whites to identify as Christians. The DSA’s anti-Christian, pro-Islam sensibilities are a poor cultural fit, it seems.)
And at the same time, the number of prominent black Republicans is rising. Byron Donalds is likely to become the first black governor of Florida. John James is the GOP gubernatorial nominee in Michigan. Lisa Demuth is the GOP gubernatorial nominee in Minnesota. All three have found a home in the Republican Party.
Tension is building below the surface. The stage is set for an earthquake.
Or a political realignment.
Because, with Byron Donalds and so many others in the limelight, blacks joining the GOP en masse isn’t so preposterous anymore. Especially if key ISIS/DSA surrogates keep going out of their way to poke ‘em in the eye (NSFW):

Piker: I don’t give a f*** what black people care about. Aw, black people care about this or they care about that. Just shut the f*** up, that’s not how politics works. […] Go back to a better time, when lynchings were happening.
For decades, Republicans hoped to attract black voters. It was tough sledding. Little progress was made: For better or worse, blacks considered the Democratic Party their home.
But it’s not their home anymore. It now belongs to ISIS/DSA.
Socialists like Hasan Piker have kicked them out.
Republicans ought to keep the home fires burning — and our gates open — so disenfranchised Democrats can return to the party of Lincoln. Something very curious is in the air.
It’s mostly happening below the surface, but that’s not where it’ll end.
Black voters saved the Democratic Party from Bernie Sanders not once, but twice. But the Democrats don’t want to be saved. Nor do they “give a f*** what black people care about” anymore.
Which is why black voters should return to the party that does.
Maybe black voters can’t save the Democratic Party. But the good news is, they can still save America.
One Last Thing: 2026 will reach a crescendo with the midterm elections. Nothing less than the future of our country teeters in the balance.
Never before have the political battle lines been so clearly defined. Blue wave or red wall, one way or another the 2026 midterms will transform our country.
