Who Are These 'People's State of the Union' People?

It used to be a truism when I was growing up that anything entitled “The People’s” was, in fact, the instrument of an authoritarian elite.

We’re apparently still there, as the “People’s State of the Union,” a rally staged last night to “counter” Trump’s State of the Union tonight, seemed to feature people who hated what the people do with their own votes.

The trollish and unspeakably vile Michael Moore, for instance, informed us that:

“The need to remove him — and also any Democrat who is in the way of removing him — that is, at this point, a moral imperative for each and every one of us,” he added. “Removing him, and Pence, and the whole disgusting lot of them… still won’t be enough. We must remove and replace the system and the culture that gave us Trump in the first place.”

And I wish they would coordinate the crazy, because it is obvious that Moore sees the problem as all of America — i.e. “the system and the culture.” He added, with a stunning lack of self-awareness: “As we seek to rid ourselves of Trump, we must also cleanse our American soul of our white male privilege.”

His comrade at tantrum, Cynthia Nixon, best known for having starred in the sex-and-nihilism soaked Sex and the City, blames Trump’s election on that increasingly more risible bugaboo of “Russian influence.”

“First and foremost, we need to make sure that Robert Mueller is able to conduct a thorough and unimpeded investigation,” Nixon said, adding that if Trump interferes in the Special Counsel’s probe, “we must take to the streets as never before.”

Of course, this threat of taking to the streets, doubtless wearing their gynecologically inspired headgear, makes us tremble in our boots, right? Given the assemblage of ninnies and spoiled darlings giving these speeches, they’d go all of maybe three blocks before they had to sit down and sip a latte.  And the only way that Michael Moore could march anywhere would be on a special, tri-plated, reinforced mobility scooter, which would doubtlessly, even so, groan under the weight he has piled on while fighting for the “people.” (We understand that for Mr. Moore the people all live in his stomach, and the people are starving.)

Meanwhile Nixon and her “feminist” comrades, in their snazzy shoes, would probably break a nail and sit down crying in despair of maybe not looking as yummy as they’ve been told they are.

Yes, I’m being mean, which is what we call people who are accurate about bad people doing bad things.

This is a demonstration of the pampered and privileged, many of them, like Nixon, having so little understanding of politics and economics that if they stood a certain way, the wind would blow through their largely vacant skulls. Others, like Moore, are sacks of bile and malice, who have made their living – and a very good living – by reviling the land that made it possible, and all those who live in it and want to keep it free and prosperous. In the imagined paradises of this horrible human being, like Cuba, he pictures himself as the elite, the Castro, laying down the law to the dispossessed and powerless, and it eats at the shriveled thing that passes for his soul that the American people en masse refuse to take his pronouncements on capitalism or our system of government.

Ultimately, the only way they’d “take to the streets” is by proxy. This is probably why they are all, to the last man and woman, fit to be tied at the idea that Trump will curtail the flow of illegal immigrants, unable to fight back, unable to complain, too untrained to do anything else, and too indoctrinated in a culture of serfs and overlords to ever question their position in society.

These leeches on the body politic wish to have an army of serfs who can’t escape them and don’t think to fight back.  Those are the people they count on to keep their houses, mow their lawns, and cater to their political illusions.

Their ideal “paradise” is Cuba, where the people starve while the progressive overlords grow fat (this might be impossible for Michael Moore to do, as I don’t think he can get fatter without occasioning a planet killing event) and are untouchable. Throw in a touch of the adulation little Kim from North Korea enjoys, and they would be as happy as pigs in mud.

It drives them insane that the American people refuse to pay obeisance to their views and to kowtow to their imagined superiority.

And so they do a “People’s State of the Union” in the certainty we won’t dare question their ability to speak for us.

Hey, you pampered nitwits: Only the crazy and the dolts in America will buy what you’re selling.

The People’s Republic of China called. They want their organizational ideas back.
