A videotape of a poll worker in Houston’s #202 precinct has corroborated reports received by Pajamas Media of voter intimidation today in the Texas city by the New Black Panther Party. The New Black Panthers have been at the center of the controversy surrounding a dropped prosecution by the Department of Justice that is being investigated by the US Civil Rights Commission.
Pajamas Media has received the following information, substantially corroborated by the video:
Quanell X, the leader of the Houston New Black Panther Party, has been seen illegally entering polling places in Houston with up to five other members of the New Black Panther Party, some in the uniform of the New Black Panthers. They are not permitted to enter the polls without credentials or to vote. Neither applies. They have begun to cross the city and assert authority at the polls. They entered Precinct #202 in Houston and began to give instructions to the election officials. The election officials did not ask the New Black Panthers to leave. Instead, the New Black Panthers asserted themselves and gave order to the election officials.
As of this writing, Pajamas Media has not learned the substance of those orders.
