Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Abortion) could well be the dimmest bulb in all of Congress, and given the presence among her colleagues in the Senate and House of the likes of Cory Booker, Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, that’s quite a distinction. Hirono proved yet again on Saturday why she deserves this honor. As the left indulged in another round of its puerile “No Kings” protests, Hirono took square rhetorical aim at Orange Man Bad and ended up hitting only herself and her far-left colleagues, providing the most concise and clear explanation yet for why the “No Kings” protests are a stupid waste of time.
"Donald Trump,” Hirono proclaimed on X, “is not, never will be, and has never been a king. #NoKings." Well, uh, yeah. It’s unclear why Mazie has been so hazy on this concept, but her statement was actually completely correct, succinctly explaining why the “No Kings” demonstrations are exercises in leftist propaganda and moral preening, rather than legitimate resistance against an actual tyrant.
And so patriots were quick to seize upon Hirono’s statement — or as the establishment media would put it, “Republicans pounced.” Retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Buzz Patterson, who carried the nuclear football for President Bill Clinton, termed Hirono’s post the “greatest self own I’ve ever seen on X.” The news source Not The Bee added: “Wow. Thanks for reminding us that we have no king. It wasn’t obvious before you spent millions of dollars organizing pointless protests.”
Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) addressed Hirono herself, writing: "So you agree – you think your 'no kings' rallies are stupid…"
Amid the hilarity over Hirono’s self-own, Fox News reported Sunday that Mike Marinella, National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman, pointed to the dark side of the “No Kings” rallies: "These Hate America Rallies are where the far-left’s most violent, deranged fantasies get a microphone and House Democrats get their marching orders. Voters will punish Democrats for gleefully standing shouder-to-shoulder with radicals who call for assassinations and violence."
Fox also noted that Trump himself offered a superb response last October to the “No Kings” protests: "I’m not a king — I work my a-- off to make America great. That’s the difference."
Trump rebuked the protests as "small, crazy, and totally out of touch with real Americans."
Indeed. And they’re also another manifestation of Democrat hypocrisy. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) "replied to a Fox News investigation that revealed 'no kings' protests were backed by a network of 500 organizations, finding many tied to socialist and communist groups. ‘Lefty billionaires & communists,’ Cruz wrote. ‘There’s a shock….’”
The biggest hypocrisy of the “No Kings” rallies, however, is that their very existence shows that their claims are false. If Trump is an authoritarian dictator or dictator-in-the-making who is determined to crush all dissent and extend his rule indefinitely, they wouldn’t be able to hold nationwide rallies denouncing, mocking, and ridiculing him, and criticizing his policies. If Trump were really what they say he is, they would be huddled in squalid rooms, awaiting the 4 a.m. knock on the door from jackbooted secret police, or already in prison or concentration camps, or worse.
If the Dems want to protest authoritarianism, they should picket the monstrosity that is the new Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, since Barack Obama worked through the Russia Hoax to discredit and destroy Donald Trump, and ensure that far-left Democrats would hold power indefinitely.
Or they could protest outside Old Joe Biden’s taxpayer-funded walled Delaware beach house, since it was the Biden regime that was the first in American history to bring bogus criminal charges against its chief opponent, and which had a long record of being intolerant of dissent.
The legal persecution of Trump was only part of the strategy. The Biden regime announced a Disinformation Governance Board that would have policed speech that dissented from the leftist establishment’s perspective, although that initiative crashed and burned when angry patriots reminded the Biden regime top dogs about that pesky thing known as the First Amendment.

The Biden regime also sicced the FBI on angry parents protesting at school board meetings, worked with Twitter and other social media giants to silence and deplatform people with opposing views, and even sent spies into Catholic churches.
You want a “king,” Senator Hirono? Old Joe is your man. But you had nothing to say about authoritarianism then. Now, why was that?
