Leftists just can’t stop calling Trump Hitler, just as they couldn’t stop calling George W. Bush Hitler, and Ronald Reagan Hitler. Any remotely effective patriotic president gets the Hitler label, to the extent that one would be forgiven for thinking that it’s the only weapon in the left’s rhetorical bag of tricks. And it may very well be. On Friday, leftists as disparate as South African politician Julius Malema and failed comedian Rosie O’Donnell likened Trump to the genocidal German dictator, and once again, they demonstrate the left’s seemingly endless capacity for accusing their enemies of what they themselves are guilty of doing.
Malema, the leader of South Africa’s racist and communist Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Party, said Thursday that Trump is the “Adolf Hitler of the modern day.” The South African reported that Malema “made the remarks in response to Trump’s attempts to disrupt South Africa’s recent hosting of the G20 leaders summit.”
The self-righteous South African leftist declared that the U.S. president’s “attempt at unilaterally inviting and uninviting countries to the G20 simply because of his political interests confirms that Donald Trump is the new Hitler the world is faced with.” Malema added that “failure to recognise this reality could have devastating consequences for the global political and economic order.”
All right. Let’s see. Trump is the new Hitler because he is supposedly unilaterally inviting and uninviting countries to the G20 simply because of his political interests? Julius Malema is no doubt one of the world’s foremost scholars of the Third Reich, but I have a crazy hunch that the name Adolf Hitler didn’t become virtually synonymous with evil because he was unilaterally inviting and uninviting countries to international jawfests.
As everyone knows, or used to know until Tucker and Candace and Nick Fuentes and the gang taught them otherwise, Hitler’s name is the very evocation of evil today, primarily because of his genocide, and who has been credibly accused of a new genocide today: Malema or Trump? Malema chants “Kill the Boer” at his political rallies, which means just what it appears to mean, and has been accused of trying to incite a genocide of white South Africans. New Hitler? Maybe his name is Julius Malema.
Also on Friday, meanwhile, Inquisitr reported that the far-left alleged comedian Rosie O’Donnell took to TikTok to warn us anew about the “orange menace.” She added some trenchant and eye-opening political analysis, saying: “I just think if there was social media during World War 2, there would have been a lot of posts about Hitler too. Someone is trying to actively destroy the country. Anyway, there you go; I did it again.” She claimed about the alleged “increasing media restrictions Trump has placed on anyone who dares to criticize him.”
Yeah, gosh, media restrictions, eh? Ol’ Rosie must have been livid when the Biden regime tried to establish the abortive Disinformation Governance Board, which would have policed speech that dissented from the leftist establishment’s perspective and worked with Twitter (X) and other social media giants to silence and deplatform people with opposing views.

Nor did Rosie apparently mind when Biden apparatchiks sicced the FBI on angry parents protesting at school board meetings, and even sent spies into Catholic churches to keep tabs on pro-lifers. And we didn’t hear a peep from Rosie when Old Joe delivered his infamous red-and-black speech of Sept. 1, 2022. In fine Hitlerian fashion, Biden claimed that “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.” He and his henchmen backed up those words by weaponizing the justice system against their principal opponent, doing everything they could to mire Trump in so much legal trouble that he had no chance of winning the presidency again in 2024.
It didn’t work, obviously, but that wasn’t for want of trying. If Barack Obama was, as he has been called, the post-American president, Old Joe Biden was something even worse than that: the anti-American president. His was the first, and so far the only, presidency to employ banana republic tactics against its opponents, and to use authoritarian measures to silence dissidents. That’s positively Hitlerian. But leftists are too busy calling Trump Hitler to notice.
