Trump Pledges a Personal $1 Million Donation to Hurricane Harvey Relief

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told her pressroom today that Donald Trump is pledging a personal $1 million donation to help the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. She stated, “He will pledge proudly one million dollars of his own personal money to help the people in Texas and in Louisiana.” She even asked for input from the press corps on what charities would be the best recipients. Liberals often bemoan the one-percenters in our society, and they slammed Trump for being out of touch with the middle class, but in cases like this he can really demonstrate the power and benefits his wealth can provide. He can help people in ways most cannot.
