Fox News Is Dead to Me

In his latest article for Conservative Review, conservative radio talker Steve Deace rightfully lashes out at Fox News for their overt support for Donald “The Fake One” Trump:

Here lies Fox News, formerly known as the definitive standard-bearer for conservative media.

Born: 1996. Died: 2016. Cause of death: Shilling for Donald Trump.

Next, Deace singles out certain Fox News hosts such as Sean Hannity, once one of the most prominent conservative pundits and TV hosts in the nation, now a mere laughing stock:

Ted Cruz’s wife is exhibit A for that phenomenon. No sooner was she maligned by Trump in a child-like social media spasm of “Who’s Hotter?” than did a Fox News mob of Trump jock sniffers circle the wagons with lies and false equivalencies.

That’s essentially what Sean Hannity, for example, was apologizing for when he tweeted out more than a week ago that “earlier I said a pro-Cruz PAC pushed the Melania (Trump) ad. Incorrect, the group has no affiliation with Cruz and as I said, Cruz condemned it.”

And Greta (or as Mark Levin likes to call her: Regreta) van Susteren:

Greta Van Susteren also had to walk back her social media claim that Cruz “took a swipe” at the third Mrs. Trump, as well as her statement that “if you are going to take the benefits of what your supporting Super Pac does, you should take responsibility for what it does.” Once again, the small and easily verifiable detail Greta omitted was that it wasn’t Cruz’s Super Pac. Oh well, you say tomato and I say tomatoe. Why quibble over a few things like the fact I don’t have my facts straight?

The worst part is that there are many more Fox pundits who are so deep in the tank for Trump that many conservatives—myself included—no longer even watch the channel: Bill O’Reilly, Eric Bolling, Andrea Tantaros and Ainsley Earhardt. Every single one of them now shills for Trump.

The bad news is that conservatives have no other cable channel to turn to. The good news? Luckily we have a wide array of great Internet television such as our very own PJTV, but also The Blaze and the newly created LevinTV. Thank God for them.
