It wasn’t that long ago that the Obama administration forced schools to allow students to use their “gender identity” to determine which bathrooms and locker rooms they would use, or which sports teams they would play on. With record-breaking speed, radical transgender ideology has been sweeping across the country, with politically correct liberals in positions of authority increasingly abusing their power, forcing private businesses, municipalities, and states to sanction the scientifically impossible theory that men can become women and women can become men.
The insanity has only gotten worse. Slowly but surely, big government is stepping in to force you to legitimize this crap by issuing fines or even potential jail time if you refuse to address a person by their preferred pronoun.
What would have been considered an absurdity ten years ago by the masses is now becoming a reality. It’s no longer just whether you can change your gender from male to female or vice versa. Now we’re being force-fed the notion that there aren’t two genders, but at least 72, if not more. In 2014, Facebook opened the floodgates, allowing users to declare themselves one of dozens of mythical genders.
George Orwell couldn’t even have predicted this nonsense.
Many states are also sanctioning the notion that there are more than two genders by allowing state-issued IDs to have more than two gender options for those very special people who can’t seem to make up their mind.
How we got here, I have no idea, but as it seems this collective psychosis is spreading rapidly, all efforts, no matter how small, to thwart this radical ideology are worth celebrating. And believe it or not, there’s a small victory to celebrate in my home state of Massachusetts.
Yes, that dark blue state.
Legislation to add a “Gender X” options for driver’s licenses was expected to fly through the legislature and be signed into law. But, one state legislator, a hero for sanity, managed to thwart the bill by using the LGBT lobby’s own insanity against them. By using Facebook’s established 73 genders as the baseline, Republican Representative Jim Lyons insisted that only adding a third gender was discriminatory to all those other genders, and insisted each deserved their own option, and thus their own amendment, debate, and vote.
Knowing that his liberal colleagues couldn’t rule any of the genders out of order without undermining the logic of transgender ideology, Lyons introduced each as a separate amendment to the bill the evening of July 31, each requiring 10 minutes of debate and three minutes to vote on.
“Number 6 added as a gender ‘cis.’ Amendment 9 — cis female, 13 — cis woman, 14 — cisgender female, 18 — cisgender woman,” Carr details. “Amendment 21 — gender fluid, 22 gender non-conforming, 23 gender questioning, 25 gender variant, 26 genderqueer.”
Six hours in, Lyons had only filed 35 of the amendments, at which point House leadership realized he was running out the clock and there wasn’t enough time before the midnight deadline to pass both the bill and the other legislation on the docket. At 10:45 p.m., they withdrew the bill.
Far-left LGBT ideology was effectively hoisted by its own petard. Or ze’s petard. According to local conservative radio talk show host Howie Carr, “the few remaining sane Democrats in the legislature realized that Lyons had done them a solid, sparing them from being recorded on a roll call vote on whether to recognize the genders of pangender, polygender and cisgender, not to mention intersex, intersex man, intersex woman and intersex person.”
And that right there speaks to the root of this problem. The biggest bully in this country isn’t Donald Trump, it’s political correctness. I have no doubt that despite the left and right disagreeing on almost every issue, that there is still a sizable portion of Democrats who don’t buy into this three-to-infinite genders crap, but either publicly support it to play nice with party leaders and activists or secretly oppose it out of fear.
For those of us who aren’t afraid to publicly oppose this insanity, I urge you to take a page out of Rep. Jim Lyons’ playbook. We need to beat these radical gender nuts at their own game before it’s too late.
