Good Monday morning.
Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:
- The president receives his intelligence briefing
- President Trump delivers remarks at a Make America Great Again rally in Montoursville, Pennsylvania
Justin Amash: WTF is wrong with you?
Rep. Justin Amash (“R”-Mich.) decided to brain dump on Twitter this weekend, announcing:
Here are my principal conclusions:
1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report.
2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.
3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances.
4. Few members of Congress have read the report.

Amash does not offer specifics. Barr’s letter summarizing Mueller’s conclusion was entirely accurate. Barr said the report concluded there was no collusion, coordination, or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the RUSSIANS. Barr said that Mueller did not make a decision about whether the president committed obstruction of justice. How is that misleading? Why would Barr lie about the report and then release it? None of these things makes sense. But you know what does make sense? That Amash wants to run for president as a libertarian.
One more thing, J-Am, where are your libertarian principles regarding illegal surveillance on American citizens? On Illegal FISA warrants, national security letters, human intelligence assets being placed around a political campaign by the unelected political bureaucracy? The jack-booted fedgov strong-arming people to plead to process crimes? U cool with that bro, because TRUMP?
Justin, I just took your Christmas card off my refrigerator.
Amash’s anti-Trump twerk earned him the admiration of one of the despicable Jew-haters in Congress, Rashida Tlaib.

Looks like you are in good company. A pox on both of you. Enjoy your primary!
Brennan to brief Democrats on Iran
House Democrats have invited former CIA director and coup leader John Brennan to brief them on Iran. He is scheduled to appear at a private meeting on Tuesday. Oh, to be a fly on that wall.
The invitation to Brennan and Wendy Sherman, a former State Department official and top negotiator of the Iran nuclear deal, offers counterprogramming to the Trump administration’s closed-door briefing for lawmakers also planned for Tuesday on Capitol Hill. Democratic lawmakers are likely to attend both sessions.
Ah yes. The Iran Deal. Of course. I wonder how much information Brennan has since his security clearance was revoked.
The administration provided a briefing to the House Democrats last week, but I’m sure Brennan’s “briefing” is more up their alley, especially because he will be representing the position of the Iranian government.
Rep. Adam Schiff: impeachment could get us all the info we want
Schiff appeared on a Sunday spin show float the idea that Trump might be impeached because he’s not acceding to all the demands of the Democrats’ “oversight” efforts.
“I think that we are seeing more members that recognize that the administration is acting in a lawless fashion, essentially having obstructed justice, is now obstructing Congress and our lawful function.,” he said. “And if we conclude that there’s no other way to do our jobs, no other way to do the oversight, no other way to show the American people what this president has done, his… his unethical and illegal acts as outlined in the Mueller Report, then we may get there.”
Illegal acts? Why wasn’t Trump charged by the Mueller team for these illegal acts?
“It provides an additional tool,” Schiff said. “We have been gradually escalating the tactics we need to use to get information for the American people.”
“If the only way that we can do our oversight is through an impeachment proceeding then maybe we have to go down that road,” he added. “But I think it’ll be important to show the American people this was a decision made reluctantly.”
The Democrats weaponized the government long ago. Clowns like Schiff would destabilize this country and all the people who live in it for no other reason than to gain a political hand. It’s time for this to stop.
And that’s all I’ve got, now go beat back the angry mob!
