Whoopi Goldberg and Jeanine Pirro got into an explosive screaming match Thursday on “The View”  — and it spilled over to an even uglier confrontation backstage.

According to Page Six,  Goldberg hurled profanities at the Fox News host backstage, telling her to “get the f*ck out of this building.”

Pirro was on the show to talk about her new book, “Liars, Leakers, and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy.”

“I thought she was describing the Trump White House, Liars, Leakers and Liberals,” CNN’s Ana Navarro quipped, to roars of approval and applause from the liberal audience.

The fiercely anti-Trump CNN contributor Navarro was reportedly filling in for Joy Behar, which apparently took Pirro by surprise.

“When Jeanine arrived on set she was looking for a fight and refusing to be on with Ana, demanding [Ana] not be in the segment,” an insider told Page Six. “[Pirro] was yelling at [‘The View’] executive producer and her staff like, ‘You need to handle this.’”

Another source said Pirro “was upset that Ana was there because she wasn’t told until the last minute. Ana is 24-7 anti-Trump. Jeanine wasn’t yelling, but you could tell they felt like the segment was being hijacked by shoving in an anti-Fox, anti-Trump person.”

The conversation started off fairly tame, but things escalated pretty quickly.

Asked why she wrote the book, Pirro explained that she wasn’t “an ideologue,” but because she had been in “the crime business for over three decades,”  she knows “a con” when she see one.

At that point, one of the women on the panel (either Navarro or Whoopi) probably made a face because the audience burst out laughing.

After Pirro talked about how the FBI’s investigation of President Trump was based on “a fake document by an opposing candidate,” Navarro changed the subject, asking Pirro if she thought Trump was actually a conservative. “Do you think he’s an ideologue that is faithful to conservative policies?” she asked.

“You know, I’m not here to talk about what Donald Trump is and isn’t,” Pirro replied. But Whoopi broke in and said she had to answer the question, as Navarro sat back smiling smugly.

“You want to talk about Donald Trump?! You tell me what metric in this country is worse off? Unemployment is lower than it’s been in 50 years,” Pirro pointed out to a smattering of applause from the confused audience. “Minorities, Hispanics, African Americans have jobs …”

“Hate crimes are worse off,” an unsmiling Navarro shot back. But Pirro wasn’t through.

“The GDP [gross domestic product] under Obama was barely 1,” she continued. “We’re going up to 4!” The feisty Fox News host turned to Navarro and snapped, “You want to talk about hate crimes? I fought for a law for hate crimes!”

The View’s lone conservative, Meghan McCain, chimed in, saying, “I  also think it’s important, as we said, 89% of the Republican Party still supports him, he still has huge popularity in the country and if Democrats don’t get their you-know-what together, he’s certainly going to get elected.”

As Whoopi was moving on to the next question, Pirro quipped, “You’re suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome!”

“I am not — Judge!” McCain replied, thinking Pirro was referring to her.

“No,” Pirro replied, gesturing toward Whoopi.

“Oh — yeah,” said McCain.

This is where it went off the rails.

“Did you just point at me?” Whoopi demanded hotly.

“Yesssss!” Pirro replied, laughing.

“Let me tell you what I have!” she barked. “I’m tired of people starting a conversation with ‘Mexicans are liars and rapists!'”

As incoherent as that was, the audience loved it and roared with approval.

“I’m tired of people starting a conversation about this country!” she continued. “Listen, I’m 62 years old; there have been a lot of people in office that I didn’t agree with, but I have never, ever seen anything like this! I’ve never seen anybody whip up such hate!” she exclaimed, whipping up the cheering, Trump-hating audience. “I’ve never seen anybody being so dismissive!” the unhinged host added.

“One of the things that you talk about a lot — and I’m curious about it — is the deep state,” Whoopi said, changing the subject. “How long has the deep state been there and who’s running it?” she asked, with a dismissive look toward the camera.

“I want to answer your question,” Pirro began, but Whoopi interrupted her, saying, “I didn’t ask you a question!”

While Whoopi continued arguing, Pirro insisted that Trump wasn’t horrible. “You know what’s horrible? When people who shouldn’t be here end up murdering the children of American citizens!”

“You know what’s horrible? When the president of the United States whips up people to beat the hell out of people!” Whoopi bellowed, her arm flailing wildly. “Say goodbye! I’m done!” she bellowed, as the frenzied mob audience cheered in approval.

According to Page Six, the fireworks continued offstage when the two crossed paths during a commercial break.

“Jeanine tried telling her she’s fought for victims her whole life.” That’s when “Whoopi got in her face and said that they’ve known each other a long time, but still, ‘F–k you, get the f–k out of this building.’ Jeanine looked stunned.”

Another source told us, “Jeanine could have walked by her. There was one more segment to do. She could have walked by her easily, she put her finger in her face and said, ‘I’ve done more for abused women than you will ever do’ and that’s when Whoopi said, ‘You and I have never had a problem,’ before everything else was said.”

ABC show’s producers and Goldberg reportedly reached out to Pirro “to have a conversation about what happened.”

Goldberg later apologized to the audience for the dust-up, saying, “You saw me do something I very rarely do. … I very rarely lose my cool and I’m not proud of it. I don’t like it. But I also don’t like being accused of being hysterical because that is one of the things I try not to be on this show.”

It’s not clear why she felt the need to apologize to the liberal “View” audience, who obviously loved every minute of it.
