Paul Ryan Has Come to Expect 'Attacks From Breitbart'

Breitbart is the epitome of the alt-right: a mainline conservative publication when Andrew Breitbart was in charge that swayed towards an alternative viewpoint when Steve Bannon took the reins. Less Republican, less conservative, it became the poster child for nationalism and for anti-inclusivity. Now, they spend most of their time attacking establishment Republicans, rather than battling against progressivism. Andrew Breitbart was left rolling in his grave. Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) spoke to this, saying, “I’ve got three certainties in my life — death, taxes, and attacks from Breitbart.” It’s time for a little less in-fighting and a little more fighting for what’s right. If the Republican Party can convince itself to stick to its cornerstone principles, it may actually be a force for good again. Unfortunately, Breitbart may be unsavable.
