This comes on the heels of angry Democrats expressing death wishes on President Trump this week including CNN employee caught on camera and Tom Arnold hinting at assassination on Twitter.

The identity of the man arrested is not known and neither is his motive. Police are currently taking him in for a mental evaluation, which seems a bit unusual since his weapon was legal and nearly everyone carries in Texas. There are no reports that this man did anything to anyone except stand near counter protesters. Whatever the case, antifa violence at Trump rallies is putting everyone on edge. The Oath Keepers, a militia group, had pledged to provide free security at the Dallas rally in response to the violence against rally-goers in Minneapolis. Antifa regularly uses pepper spray and violence on Trump supporters and have been met in the past by Proud Boys or other pro-Trump groups carrying their own pepper spray to counter the attacks. Whether this man was one of them or a counter protester is unknown.

One thing is certain. The 2020 election is in full swing and it’s only going to get weirder and more chaotic before it’s over. Buckle up.
