Democrats are absolutely losing it over the Army’s 250th birthday celebration in Washington, D.C.—a patriotic event they’ve somehow decided is a threat to democracy. You’d think honoring the military would be something we could all get behind, but when President Donald Trump is involved, even celebrating the Army becomes a partisan flashpoint for the left.
For example, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) jumped in, calling the event a self-indulgent birthday party for Trump and whining about the cost.
Trump’s parade will cost taxpayers up to $45 million.

For example, with that money, we could expand health care & food assistance for veterans.
A taxpayer-paid birthday gift to Trump sounds like government waste to me.
Did she care when Joe Biden added trillions to the national debt? Nope.
Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) was no better. In his continuous quest for national relevancy, he pandered to the radical left with an absurdly childish reaction. After witnessing the parade preparations, he expressed open disgust and even wished for rain to ruin the day.
Tim Walz says that he hopes it rains on our troops during their parade tomorrow..

Seriously? That’s his takeaway from a celebration of America’s armed forces?
Plenty of left-wing crybabies are screeching that this kind of event is somehow “unprecedented,” but you don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to know that’s flat-out false. A quick glance at history shows otherwise.

Military parades, and patriotic displays have been part of American life for generations. The only thing “unprecedented” here is the left’s ability to whine about absolutely everything.
As for the Trump connection, this celebration has been in the works for two years, and was planned to mark a major milestone for the U.S. Army. Democrats only remember how to clutch their pearls over spending when it involves honoring the military. After years of throwing away trillions on climate scams, DEI bureaucracies, and Ukraine blank checks, they suddenly care about a price tag?
Let’s cut through the nonsense. Democrats were never actually upset about the cost of the Army’s 250th birthday celebration—they were just throwing a fit because it happened to fall on Donald Trump’s birthday. That’s what really triggered them. The second they realized the timing, they lost it, rushing to smear the event as some kind of Trump vanity project. Of course, that talking point collapsed on impact.
A new AP-NORC poll shows just how laughably out of step that reaction was. Forty percent of Americans support the parade, while only 29 percent oppose it. Even among Democrats, opinion is split—half disapprove, which his shockingly low among Democrats. That’s not exactly the groundswell of outrage the left hoped for. And among Republicans? Support is exactly what you’d expect: strong and unwavering.
So despite the left’s best efforts to politicize a patriotic celebration, most Americans saw it for what it was—a tribute to the U.S. Army, not some imagined monument to Trump’s ego. The Democrats’ tantrum didn’t land. It just made them look petty, bitter, and completely out of touch with the country they claim to represent.
And, much to the disappointment of Tim Walz, it was a great event. Based on videos shared on social media, people are enjoying themselves, kids are wide-eyed seeing military hardware up close, and there’s a genuine sense of pride.

It’s also a smart recruitment tool, especially for the younger crowd. The tanks, aircraft, and interactive exhibits are not just eye-catching—they’re a bridge between the civilian world and the people who protect it.
Contrary to what Democrats want you to believe, military parades aren’t some authoritarian novelty. They’ve been part of American tradition for generations. But once Trump is anywhere near the picture, they’d rather smear the entire military than admit the country is better under his leadership.
In the end, this whole meltdown tells you everything you need to know about today’s Democratic Party. They don’t just oppose Trump—they oppose anything that brings Americans together under a shared sense of pride and patriotism. Honoring the military? That’s offensive. Waving the flag? That’s problematic. A national celebration that reminds people what makes this country great? That’s somehow a threat to democracy.
