Stop Blaming Trump for How Canada Votes

The "Orange Man Bad" crowd has reached a new level of desperation, with leftists now blaming former President Donald Trump for Canada's election results. Yes, you read that correctly. These people think Canadians voted for the same failed Liberal Party policies that forced Trudeau's resignation because Trump said mean things

Anti-Trump voices from the right are blaming him, and voices on the left are thanking him.

“Thank you, President Trump,” Bernie Sanders said in a post on X. “Two months ago, your conservative friends were 25 points ahead in the polls. Yesterday, they lost. It only took 100 days for you to convince Canadians that the far right has no place in government. Americans will say the same in our next election.”

Cute story. But don’t buy it. The left wants the right to blame Trump. Never Trumpers still want to believe they’re right about Trump. Because they blame everything on Trump, and they have no other strategy in their arsenal.

This is the same tired playbook we've seen for years: When something goes wrong anywhere in the world, blame Trump. Hurricane in the Caribbean? Trump's fault. Bad coffee at your local cafe? Somehow, Trump did it. Now they're claiming he's controlling Canadian voters through some kind of cross-border mind control.

The anti-Trump hysteria has become so unhinged that his critics are now abandoning common sense altogether. They’re more comfortable embracing the delusion that Trump somehow manipulated millions of Canadian voters than facing the obvious truth: Canadians voted based on their own interests and priorities. Blaming Trump for the outcome of Canada’s election is as absurd as blaming Justin Trudeau for Kamala Harris’s embarrassing defeat in 2024. Like it or not, Canada remains a center-left country, and no amount of finger-pointing will change that.

Canadian voters are capable of making their own decisions. They don't need Trump's help to vote against their own interests. If they want to keep the same party in power that's been destroying their economy and freedoms, that's their choice. Blaming Trump for their electoral decisions is not just ridiculous; it's infantilizing an entire nation of voters.

And hey, let them pay the price for their stupidity. The Liberal Party's continued grip on power means that Canadians can expect more of the same policies that drove Justin Trudeau from office.

Under new Prime Minister Mark Carney, the government remains committed to its aggressive climate agenda, restrictive gun policies, and expansive immigration plans. The same bureaucrats who crafted carbon taxes, pushed digital content regulations, etc., etc., etc. Canadians will quickly find out that they’re no better off with Carney as prime minister than Trudeau.

Earlier this month, “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary expressed confidence that Canada would cave to Trump on tariffs shortly after its election. He predicted that the next leader of Canada would quickly prioritize resolving trade issues with the U.S.

“That person will fly to Washington immediately and start negotiations, which I would call NAFTA III,” O’Leary said on Yahoo Finance, referring to the possibility of a new trade deal similar to the USMCA (formerly NAFTA) that would replace the existing tariff policies.

In fact, this whole ridiculous blame game tells us everything we need to know about the unhinged Trump haters who can't seem to get through breakfast without finding new ways to pin their problems on Trump. These people are so consumed by Trump Derangement Syndrome that they probably blame him when their coffee gets cold or their Wi-Fi cuts out.

In the end, Canada will have to pay for its own mistakes. Let it.
