Cory Booker Won’t Save the Democrats—No Matter What He Says

Cory Booker wants you to believe he's just a concerned Democrat calling for his party to take responsibility for their failures. But his recent publicity stunts, including a record-breaking Senate floor speech, reveal his true motivation -- positioning himself for a 2028 presidential run.

The New Jersey senator's recent appearance on ABC's "This Week" was a masterclass in political positioning. "We are in a state where, again, the Democratic Party should own up," Booker declared, trying to paint himself as the voice of reason and accountability within a failing Democratic Party.

Let's be real—this is the same Cory Booker who has consistently voted in lockstep with the radical left agenda. Now that President Trump has returned to office and Democrats are facing the consequences of their disastrous policies, Booker conveniently wants his party to "take responsibility," despite the fact that he is part of the problem.

It’s been obvious to anyone that there are several key factors that hurt the Democrats in the 2024 election, among them their soft-on-crime policies, their immigration record, and their complete servitude to transgender ideology. What exactly has Booker done about any of those things to help fix the party? Booker voted against the Laken Riley Act, and voted to block the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. These aren’t the actions of a pragmatic Democrat who wants his party to own up to its mistakes. He doubles down on those mistakes because thats what the base of the party wants.

It’s not a coincidence that this move by Booker comes in the wake of his marathon 25-hour Senate floor speech—that meaningless publicity stunt that wasn’t even a true filibuster. Aftre his long-winded protest of Trump administration policies, Booker now is using the spotlight to position himself as a maverick willing to criticize his own party.

"The Democratic Party is at its weakest when it's concerned about the party," Booker proclaimed, without a hint of irony or self-awareness.

This isn't about genuine reform or accountability. This is about Booker trying to establish himself as a "different kind of Democrat" ahead of 2028 while showing absolutely zero evidence of being the kind of Democrat who understands what the party is doing wrong or what to do about it.

Cory Booker’s sudden “criticism” of his own party is a clear attempt to rewrite history. He backed the same failed policies that helped usher President Trump back into the White House, and now he’s hoping voters forget. He wants to position himself as the savior of the party that has lost its ability to win elections while simultaneously doubling down on the positions that got the party lost in the wilderness in the first place.

The American people can see through this political theater. They know the difference between genuine leadership and calculated positioning for personal gain. Booker can break all the Senate speaking records he wants—it won't change the fact that he's just another ambitious politician trying to climb the Democratic ladder.
