But it’s worse than just losing friends. These same people who once decided that they couldn’t associate with conservatives are now justifying violence against anyone who dares to offend their fragile political sensibilities.
If you had any lingering doubts about the modern left's descent into violent authoritarianism, its gleeful celebration of attacks on Tesla dealerships should finally put them to rest. Gone are the days when liberals even bothered to pretend they opposed political violence. Now they're openly cheering it — as long as the targets are their ideological enemies.
Need proof? Just watch the audience of The Daily Show whooping and applauding footage of thugs vandalizing and torching Tesla dealerships. Nothing says "peaceful progressive" quite like celebrating arson, right?
Jimmy Kimmel, that paragon of late-night virtue signaling, turned the whole situation into a comedy routine. Destroying private businesses and people’s cars is hilarious if the owner of the company simply wants to root out wasteful spending from the government. His audience of trained seals clapped right along because property destruction is now perfectly fine if you hate the right people.
But here's where it gets truly chilling. Progressive activists created a website called "DOGEQUEST" that maps Tesla owners' locations with a Molotov cocktail cursor. Let that sink in. They built a targeting system for political violence and tried to pass it off as "activism." Imagine the nuclear meltdown in mainstream media if conservatives had created something similar.
The same pearl-clutchers who still can't stop talking about January 6 are now making excuses for actual terrorism against American businesses. Why? Because Elon Musk had the audacity to help President Trump streamline our bloated federal bureaucracy through DOGE.

Social media is awash with blue-check liberals calling these attacks "understandable" and "predictable." The message is clear: Support conservative policies, and violence against you isn't just acceptable – it's expected.
This isn't about political disagreement anymore. It's about a political movement that has embraced intimidation and violence as legitimate tools against its opponents. Worse yet, this movement has become so mainstream that Hollywood is justifying it, and its audiences applaud it with enthusiast approval.
This isn’t a new phenomenon either. Last year, the audience of “Saturday Night Live” cheered when Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost mentioned Luigi Mangione, the man who brutally murdered UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December.
They're showing us exactly who they are: believers in the kind of authoritarian thuggery they claim to oppose.
The masks are off. The modern left has become everything it pretends to fight against. Its selective outrage about political violence and its not-so-thinly veiled endorsement of domestic terrorism reveal its true nature. It doesn't want debate or democracy; it wants submission.
The next time you hear some liberal pontificating about "threats to democracy," remember how leftists acted when their side was firebombing American businesses. Their actions speak louder than their empty words about tolerance and peace.
This is who they are now. And it should terrify every American who still believes in actual democracy.
