The Left Tried to Kill Trump. What Happens Next?

The political left has done everything they can to stop Donald Trump. Impeachment, lawfare, removing him from the ballot, and now attempted assassination. In the wake of the near fatal attempt on Trump’s life, Democrats are trying to save face by condemning the violence they’ve inspired.

Yes. They inspired it. You've heard their rhetoric for years—even from Joe Biden.

“Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation,” Joe Biden said a couple of weeks ago. “He's a threat to our freedom. He’s a threat to our democracy. He's literally a threat to everything America stands for.”

Just last week, he said, “It’s time to put Trump in the bullseye.”

There are countless examples of similar rhetoric from Joe Biden, including his infamous speech at Independence Hall last year. And, there are countless examples of people on the left at all levels using the most dangerous rhetoric about Donald Trump. The media has largely been an accomplice to this effort. Together, they created an atmosphere where extreme actions seemed almost inevitable.

Hollywood, too.

Madonna threatened to blow up the White House during the Women's March on Washington after Trump took office. Mere months into Trump's presidency, Kathy Griffin staged a photo with a severed, bloodied head of Trump, and actor Johnny Depp asked the crowd at the annual Glastonbury Festival, "When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?"

Essentially, they normalized and trivialized political violence. Heck, they even consider it justifiable.

Consider the countless instances where Trump was compared to Hitler or labeled as a tyrant. Such comparisons are not merely hyperbolic; they are dangerous. They suggest that Trump is not just a political opponent but an enemy who must be stopped at any cost. When elected Democrats and pop culture influencers repeatedly push that narrative, it’s not far-fetched to see how this could incite someone to violence. If people are convinced that Trump is another Hitler, it is inevitable that they will feel morally obligated to try to assassinate him.

This isn’t normal, civilized behavior, yet stuff like this has become routine among the political left: they demonize and dehumanize the political right to the point where they rationalize that committing violence and murder is a service to humanity.

They call it the “resistance.”

Even now, mere hours after the failed attempt on Trump’s life, the mainstream media is trying to find ways to blame him and his supporters for what happened, accusing them of increasing political tensions in America, and worrying about retaliatory violence. These are the same people who justified the BLM riots in the summer of 2020. Yet, when Trump was convicted in a sham, partisan trial in New York back in May, his supporters didn't riot in the streets. They didn't cause billions of dollars in property damage, or beat and kill people. They opened up their wallets and donated to his campaign, because they knew what's really at stake here: the future of our nation.

We all know it. The only response to this relentless and unjust persecution is to vote Trump back into office. It’s not just about defending a man who has been wronged; it’s about defending our democracy, our freedoms, and the very soul of our nation. Voting Trump back in is the strongest message we can send because we reject the dangerous, violent tactics of the left and stand firm for the values that truly make America great.
