Democrats thought they had a winning strategy in the 2024 election by attempting to get Donald Trump off the ballot in various states and taking him off the campaign trail by tying him up in bogus legal battles. The first effort failed, as it should have, and now it looks like he’s taking advantage of being confined to New York because of the bogus trial over his perfectly legal non-disclosure agreement with Stormy Daniels in a way no one expected.
Last week, following his appearance in court, President Donald J. Trump visited the Harlem bodega of clerk Jose Alba, whom Soros-funded D.A. Alvin Bragg falsely accused of robbery, assault, and murder for acting in self-defense. When Trump arrived, enthusiastic supporters lined the streets to welcome him, chanting "Four more years!" and "Trump! Trump! Trump!" and "We love Trump!"
The optics were so good for Trump that Biden's campaign responded by sending Biden to a Sheetz gas station in Pittsburgh. The contrast between the two events was so dramatic. Both candidates were in deep blue areas, yet only Trump experienced enthusiasm and large crowds.
On Thursday, Trump once again made the best of his time in New York, by visiting a lower Manhattan construction before going to court. Once again, Trump was met with enthusiastic support, with locals shouting "We love Trump!" and "USA! USA!"
Trump is now saying he thinks New York is in play in 2024.
“I think we have a good chance of winning here and we’re going to give it a big plan,” he said. “We’re going to the South Bronx to do a rally. We’re going to be doing a rally at Madison Square Garden, we believe.”

I’ve already said that I don’t think Trump can realistically win New York, but it’s amazing the way he’s turned the sham trial into a huge campaign opportunity, meeting with the regular folks in areas that are overwhelmingly Democrat whom Biden’s policies have hurt.
Trump has been so incredibly effective that he’s getting praise from unusual places, including former George W. Bush advisor Karl Rove, who is no Trump fan.
“He’s done this several times before,” Rove told Fox News. “Whoever’s advising him on this ought to be given a gold star because it’s good advice.”
“It is better for him to grab moments like this, walking in and commenting on the news of the day,” Rove continued, “rather than making it all about what he feels [about the criminal trial]. And he feels obviously strongly about this — about … his treatment in this case; we’ve heard that once or twice already."
Recent polling shows Trump ahead in nearly all of the battleground states, and Biden’s alleged bump following the State of the Union has since disappeared. So the lawfare strategy that Democrats have pursued against Trump isn’t working.
If you’re on Biden’s campaign, you’re probably wondering what can be done about this. Obviously, running on the issues won’t work because people don’t care for this economy or how Biden is handling anything. This strategy of using the legal system to thwart Trump isn’t having the impact they thought it would, and Trump is successfully milking it to make it work for him. He’s truly made lemonade out of lemons.
